Tuesday band practice, I go at 3pm and I'm one of the earliest. I think there's a lot of them who end class at 2.30 but just take their own time to eat. You mean they eat so much that they need more time than ME?! Wow, pigs eat less and faster than them! :o When I went there, only Xue Qi and Zijian were there, other than Sec 1 juniors. DC came, yay :) I thought he wouldn't come anymore. Although I don't particularly like him but well, still section mates so just be nice.

Yesterday was Ngee Ann Sec's 17th birthday! And also my blog's 3rd birthday! Haha! I created it on Founder's Day in Sec 1. Anyway, has anyone ever heard of another school which gives cake to every student on Founder's Day?! On our 15th "birthday" we got some colourful cake, then last year it was marble cake. The principle said people said it wasn't nice, so this year it was Prima Deli chocolate cake! OMG! The school is so good sometimes! ^_^ Er but, no break record this year? :o Anyway, today's a day off in celebration.

OMG my Chinese sucks! One 选词填空 I check dictionary for every question and take 1h to do it -.- And there's 2 pages of that by the way. And 2 other worksheets. Oh yes! I am 14th in level for CL... because of the low standard of CL in this school, and value and homework marks. I don't think I'm really that good. I mean, how can I be better than a China guy, right? And better than people who speak Chinese, right?! Grr! >_<

HAPPY 2ND MONTH ZIJIAN! :)

I had lunch with Amanda at Tampines Mart! ^_^ Actually we wanted to go to the food court, then we said bye to Zijian at Mac. Then we reached there and realised the food court is under renovation -.-" because we both don't usually go there. Then we end up in Mac also, hahaha! I think that's funny :P We sat at emo corner, haha XD

The best person to ask to explain a sick joke in Chinese is Zijian, HAHAHA! Well, I didn't KNOW it was a sick joke... I just knew there was something about it I didn't know XD Lunch with Amanda again :D Practice has been ending at 2pm (it's supposed to) and by the time we reach home it's quite late. Yesterday was pouring rain, today it's so hot! -.- We went to 7-11 after lunch because she wanted to buy sweets, then I saw something that looks like 冰棒 and I thought: Ew. Don't remind me. HAHAHA! XD

Actually today is not a happy day... Some lousy senior & section leader I am. Not only my stupid braces I can't play, now because of my personality 还到自己 junior. It's not only his fault, I'm his senior, so it's my fault too.

♫♪I'm back to happy Bass Trombone!!♪♫

Hi! This happens to be my 345th post. Today there's band practice. Oh and I got birthday wishes from 10+ people! Today is also my birthday :) I'm super touched by some people! ^_^ The first person to wish me today is SARAH HO! ^_^ At 8+ she sms me asking me to meet her, but we were having warm ups, and she had to wait outside the band room till almost 9am! :s Thanks for your pretty hand-made card and the present! :D And sorry for making you wait... I love cards that people make ^_^ 2nd to wish me was Wen Ling, had my birthday on her phone calendar :) Then, Cai Yan! Calendar also, haha, both were surprises for me :) After that was Mavis' wish, wrote it in her pink book, haha ^_^

For practice today (all these wishes happened during practice, so I replied during practice also, haha, exception ok?) we ran through all the songs we're playing in HK. Mr Yeo timed also, because we have 30min limit on performance. But we took 13min only :O At 12pm Chen Hua sms all the way from China! :D But my phone was outside while I kept instrument, so replied late... And in the store room, my 2 DMs Hazirah & Sandy screamed at me, happy birthday of course, super loud, haha! Then I had Aisyah too (because I told her about her senior's sms from China :P). Then I went home, then lunch, then I just reached home when Darryl smsed! So surprised! :D Then Chong Jin ^_^ Then Twinny Rebecca! :D Then this one is totally surprise, Mdm Yanti, haha! Later, on msn also had Regine :)

Hoohoo... some of my favourite people forgot/are unaware :(

Just now I had cake with my family. This year, my cake has words on it! I have "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TROMBONIST" on strawberry shortcake :) My grandma got me a shirt, my parents got me a heart bracelet :) Grandma got me a card too, although it's pink it's still nice, haha! Sarah's card is yellow with gold and silver, all my favourite colours, haha! :D

Today got band practice! :) Should be sectionals but Mr Yeo came so we had combined practice. I think I'm gonna play lousily for the Winter Band Festival. My mouth hurts, my heart hurts. I'm not as confident of my parts as I used to be before I put braces. I didn't memorise my score like I did last year. Actually, I don't purposely memorise, it comes naturally. But now I can't memorise :(

Anyway, today Mr Yeo mentioned some of my favourite things: Jay Chou and China!!! :D
He was talking to Kwot Sin who always mumbles everything he says.

Then at It's A Small World, the part that says "The Orient" he asked them to be more oriental. Then he said people have a (I forgot that word! >_<) that oriental is (then he starts singing). Then he say "We are from China. Mao Zedong says..." haha, actually ah, Yu Bin was there -.- And Chinese DON'T talk like that! Luckily never say offensive stuff, if not my face black already.

Tomorrow is my birthday, and I got an email reminder from hotmail that it is my birthday, haha! I wonder how that happened! This year, I was supposed to make 2 birthday cards, but only made 1... I doubt I'll be getting any this year, he doesn't know my birthday, I think. Tomorrow I'm seeing Band. I remember last year Rebekah said "Today is Rebecca Tan's birthday!" and if she didn't say my surname it'll sound funny, haha! Well, I'm not expecting anything :) Cards are better than presents though! :D Haha! Eh... very unexpectedly, Han Wei from NCO is the first to wish me happy birthday this year, just now only :O Saw my MSN display message, and he won't be at home tomorrow, so wish me just now. I think China is going to wish me tomorrow! ^_^ But I'm kind of greedy, what about the other one?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARRYL! :D ALL THE BEST IN LIFE AND DON'T EVER GIVE UP BECAUSE RAINBOWS ONLY COME AFTER THE RAIN :) Oh, and there's a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, haha! BE HAPPY ALWAYS! ^_^ Because we may go through the same things in life but whether it's a good or bad experience depends on what we do and how we view it :)

(I learnt that at the leadership workshop yesterday, haha) As promised, the blog entry dedicated to you! ^_^ But this isn't enough to be called a dedication until I write something more right? You'll always be my big brother even though you're not in NAS anymore because we shared 2 years in Band! :D And I won't ever forget you as long as I can remember ^_^ There, now it's a dedication, haha!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SERENE!!! :D You wrote your birthday in the Chinese textbook you gave me, haha!

Today after school I ate at the canteen. I saw Kevin! :) He couldn't find a place and in the end sat at the other end of the table from me when it became vacant. Then when I finished eating, I go there and say "Kevin! See me never say hi!" Then he say "You sit so far! And just now never see you also..." Haha, I think he bluff. Anyway, he said bye to me later :) Shortly after he and his friends left, I also left to look for teacher to get keys. Ms Deepa passed me T T2! :O So it was with Kee Poh...! Haiz... anyway, it's back now :) Anyway, the door was already unlocked when I went up -.- Grrr... that's damn pissing off.

Anyway, today's sectionals was delayed a lot. Because when I went to unlock the 2 special rooms for sectionals, the door leading to that corridor with the rooms seemed locked. Then also, chairs were missing from our band room so we couldn't start warm ups together. Hazirah contacted teachers and a lot of trouble. Ms Chen said she'd look for the school attendant to unlock the door. Plans were made to use the 3I1 and 3R7 classrooms but they were locked... A lot of waiting and trouble, then, they said that door... was unlocked...

And we managed to get chairs from somewhere, so we started to warm up with Wai Yee conducting... Dion didn't come for band. After a very short warm up we went to sectionals, which I didn't practice with them at all. I played with eupho sometimes... I practiced Mamma Mia, Tequila, Celebration & Song, Rockin to the Rhymes and at the end, a few bars of Procession To Peace. And I figured out how to play the chorus of Jay's 稻香 :) So nothing much today, bye bye.

Yo! 27 July Tuesday band practice. Physics SPA was postponed so I could be less late for band yay! It's impossible not to be late because lesson ends at 2.30pm and practice starts at 2.30pm -.- and if there was SPA it'll end at 4pm -.- I saw Mr Yeo and Mr Yu at the canteen just after I finished lunch. Band was fun today! :) Mr Yeo said our MOE band fund's been approved so we'll get new instruments. Trombone will get except for Benjamin his bass trombone is in good condition though it's not younger than mine I think. But I don't want to change! I want 153671! But we need new trombones, not enough tenor trombone with trigger, 2 only. We had a new piece, Highlights from High School Musical. And Suky came! :D Last Saturday she didn't come and today would be her last time coming because school is starting for her... :( So she won't come every week anymore... So sad. I will miss her. Anyway, back to band. I think my sight reading for this piece is not bad. But! I made some mistakes on the notes which I didn't notice until Suky told me. But anyway, Mr Yeo said our mission today is rhythm and we can play wrong notes, haha. My rhythm is not bad. The wrong notes that I play is... pardonable I guess, haha. Because it's all F then one E. And next page all C then one B so I didn't really notice that it's a different note :S Today Sec 1s played with us too, but I think the ones playing is actually the Main Band only, haha. We ended earlier today! Mr Yeo conducted today! It's been such a long time since he conducted Main Band! Mr Yu went around listening to sections. Suky's band came in 3rd in SIBF and got gold, whoo! After band, I tricked Mr Yeo into finding his own belated birthday card. I said the bells got problem (actually that's the chimes, oh my gosh!) Mavis said percussion got a lot of place can hide the card and Gabriel hid it in the chimes which is covered, haha! Then Mr Yeo went there and took out the card, haha! After dismissal I walked to a different bus stop with Suky, because there also can take bus to the library stop where I change bus. First time take bus 18, haha.

Friday 30 July was sectionals as usual. Ah yes! On Tuesday the Sec 1s joined Main Band already, because the conductors said they have to come on Friday. It's about the same time as my batch joined... Friday people came late again as usual. Damn pissed off, committee members even! (not including those who were buying things for games day). I haven't been to that small sectionals room for a long time... and I don't like it -.- so much echo. I let them self practice for a while, then I take the section. Benjamin's rhythm is still... I don't know what. He can't count. Ding Cong's not bad, he practiced the whole song already! And his rhythm mostly correct except a bit which I also found harder at first. Quite good :) It's nice to have someone who can play with me correctly :) and I miss Kevin... :( Speaking of Kevin, on Wednesday the school announced that some people took part in accounting competition. Kevin's group came in under top 30, Serene's group champion! Check out school website for July :D I miss Kevin... :( Sectionals was ok other than Benjamin. I think he has to learn himself because it's impossible to teach him. Then we had a brass combined with Dion conducting. It's damn sucky because cannot hear and where's the melody? -.-

Yesterday games day. It's supposed to be only once a year not 2 -.- Anyway, fun was fun bit more tiring, haha. I'm team leader of Team 3: Yi Wen, Yii Jie (birthday girl!), Vanessa, Leon, Gabriel, Zi Yuan and Syamsul but ZY didn't come. Exams coming they still have what games day -.- There'll be no practice until 20 August! :( I will miss you Trombone! And Band!

Hello! Tuesday 20 July no practice because of O Level Chinese listening comprehension and Sec 3 higher CL one cos they taking the normal CL O level, so we were unable to celebrate our dear Mr LY and Mr LY's birthdays! Mr Yeo's is 19 July Monday, Mr Yu's is 23 July yesterday. I only SMSed the 2 of them on their birthdays. Friday was sectionals, no conductors as usual, so a lot of them came late, even though most came about 10min late, but late's still late. Those who came even later include COMMITTEE members! -.- We warmed up for a while and then went to sectionals in the 2 idiotically small rooms. I didn't go there at all because I was in charge of them making birthday cards. After school I waited for Mavis to finish her HCL lesson then went bookshop to buy 2 big cards (what material??) and small cards. We want to get everyone to write a small card and paste on the big one according to section. Took about 30min to buy the stuff, haha. It's hard to decide when we don't have a draft, but it's impossible to have a draft right? So we bought bright red and off-white huge cards and a box of small cards. During sectionals, I actually wanted section by section to come up and write 2 cards each but somehow the committee came for some games day meeting, what the shit. They even said they wanted it on Saturday despite Mdm Yanti objecting as the conductors are paid to come on Saturdays. Omg... seriously is this my committee? Then after that more than one section came up because apparently the some of my comm members told them to come when I didn't -.- haha.

Some of them come and slack sia... what the heck, damn irritated with them. They like to deprive people ah, deprive conductors of their work, deprive me of MY sectionals time. I couldn't go sectionals cos I had to be up there, but at least can self practice right -.- Come to think of it, all 3 majors were up here, but for what sia?! I bet the band slacked :( ... Useless. I can't believe my committee, seriously. After band practice, Mavis (came at 5 after lesson), Jaslyn & Xue Qi stayed back till 7+ to make the cards! We had to substitute empty cards so that we have space for Sec 1s' cards. The organisation of where and how to arrange the smal cards was hard! The red one was for Mr Yu with white words. I think it's like a HK flag cos the background's red and the inside's white, haha. Mr Yeo's is white with red words, opposite and more like Singapore flag. I think this part's very cool! :D Mr Yu's card is nicer, but not because I was biased! Just happened to be.

Today, band again. Marching in the morning. We brought the cards and materials for the sec 1s to make. Again, Jaslyn & Xue Qi stayed to help me while the rest do marching. Some irresponsible people came very late. Some asshole is being very extra in band and loves scolding vulgarities and scolding people's mother behind their back after irritated them and making them pissed off. What's his problem, scold people's mother for nothing. F*** that damn Yu Bin, go die la, you're an insult to your mother. You got mother people don't have ah, what if I go scold your mother after being an asshole to you, idiot. Act damn extra, show off on every single rubbish thing as if you're so great. You ADHD go f off la, ass. Want people to notice your stupidity and rubbish for what, as if you're worth noticing. Totally have no pride yet act so proud, there's nothing even to be proud of, as if you play music nicely, it's like shit ok, worse than shit. Your skills suck more than anyone I've ever seen, still so thick-skinned go around playing so damn fking loudly and irritate people. No one wanna hear you bullshit so f off. Just spoiling your country's reputation and making people think that your countrymen are like that. The most shameless person you can ever find in the band. Fker.

After marching they went upstairs and warmed up and tuned till Mr Yu came. Mr Yeo said he wouldn't be coming today :( Shucks, the birthday... We did a lot of the Great Band Workout warm up today with Sec 1s, then we played the new songs Rocking to the Rhymes and part of Nobody. We have 3 songs actually. After practice ended, we delayed the celebration a while cos there was no knife with the cake! Mavis went to buy. I stalled for time with the band whenever Mr Yu wanted to dismiss them cos he wants to see comm. Haha, twice, very strange. First time attendance, luckily 2nd time can tell them about band blog, haha. Then I went out to see and yay! Got knife alr. I think I very strange today, I open the door and go "Mr Yu! We got something for you!" Haha, crazy. Gabriel and Mavis brought the cake and we sang a birthday song (English) and I gave the huge pretty card :) Mr Yu sick, couldn't eat the cake... :( After giving out the cake, he had comm meeting to talk about band uniform and t shirt. I didn't even know they said they wanted white blazer, wth! Since when, and why white? Last year just changed uniform -.- Ok that's it, bye :)

This whole week I had no time to do my homework!!! 12 July Monday, I made CY's birthday card for 3 hours after coming back from dental appointment which is so far from my house. Actually not 3 hours straight, I did 1.5h then went to have dinner and continued another 1.5 hours, haha. 13 July Tuesday there was band practice, then when I came home I folded 16 stars for CY in a bottle. I made 16 then after putting into the bottle I found one pink one, then I counted in the bottle but it's hard to count. I remembered making 2 of that colour but only saw 1 so I figured there was only 15 so I put it in. Then 14 July Wednesday had rehearsal for Tapestry 4 with other CCAs. Band is damn irresponsible, just ditch their instruments and ALL go in to watch dance perform. Only Mavis stayed with me to look after those instruments. It's not the Band Major's job to look after the instruments that you dump there ok. If it's my job, then it's all the majors job too. Freaking irritated. I told them to bring it with them already, dumb or what. That's the most irresponsible thing a band member can do other than slack. You can conclude this is the most irresponsible band ever. Then the rehearsal delayed until we ended after 7pm, then people still wasting time in the band room over trivial idiotic stuff like they got all the time in the world. Damn them.

Finally, yesterday was CY's birthday and Ngee Ann Tapestry 4. I liked yesterday, it started off nice :) In morning assembly I happened to sit beside CY, yay! So I gave him the card and present :) He's very cute, hahaha. “谢谢你。。。谢谢你。。。真的谢谢你哦，好紧张哦。。。”Is that cute or what? :D Come to think of it, I think I heard him thanking people profusely before, haha. Eh, that's only the 2nd time he talked to me in person :O I hope he likes it!! ^_^ Then I kept smiling through the assembly, hahaha, because I love birthdays (not my own) and I love to make cards for them! :D Then first period from 8-9am. Someone said "Today is Cui Yi's birthday" Then 3R1 sang a birthday song for him in English. Then when we sang it in Chinese he so shy he go use his bag to cover his face, HAHA! After English, I left at 9am to go band. When I reached there, Wai Yee said to take our stuff and go to the hall.

We rehearsed there twice. And the 2nd time, they said the choir wanted the curtains open, so it means we can't set up the chairs and get ready and sit there while they are performing! -.- So we have less time to prepare. Why the heck would they want the curtains open and see our stands and files behind? -.- So after the 2nd rehearsal we went back to the band room. Lunch was from 12.30pm - 4pm and Mr Yu would come at 4.30pm. I was planning to go back to 3R1 to sit in for a few minutes of E Maths, but in the end when I got there they were dismissed already. I went in to ask if there was homework, no, but they started on trigonometry, argh! Then I went to wait for Chong Jin with Filzah. CY saw me and thanked me again. Then I thought he wanna shake hand, then he walk off, haha! Omg, that's so paiseh! But it's ok because he's birthday boy :)

Soon 4R1's class ended and CJ came out. We were going off when Mavis sms to ask where I was. I opened her class door and went "I'm here!" Hahaha! So CJ, Filzah, Mavis, XQ and I went for lunch together :) We had a long lunch since we only had to report back at 4pm. Chen Hua sms me to say jia you! :D Later Serene also did so, haha. We went back to school early and I couldn't get the key because Mrs Tan was at home -.- So I got Ms Chen to take it from her table. Finally, we went upstairs and Mavis and I played with the harmony director, playing Jay Chou songs. Haha, today 2 of us keep singing his songs, like 七里香，听妈妈的话，爱我别走. She thought that 七里香 was 晴天, haha. Mr Yu came as Wai Yee was conducting warm ups and taught her a bit. Then we practiced until 5. Suky came, but then at 5 the teacher said it was dinner time -.- So we went to canteen but our food haven't came and we waited for so long -.- Waste time, could have practiced more. So we went to change first and our food came. By then it was already 6pm -.- We went up at about 6.30pm. At 7pm we went down to the hall. Eh, I thought they wanted the curtains open... We went in to put our stands then came back out. But when we went in to perform the curtains were closed... Hm... Anyway, argh! I played a wrong note! -.- At bar 86 the important accompanying after the solo (which I didn't play -.-) It's Eb D C D, I went C D C D cos same position... under-pitched!!! -.- Grrr...! After that we went up to the band room to put our stuff and came back for the finale where all the performers come out and the school present our conductors/coach/whatever with a token of appreciation.

I later realised the token is a bouquet of real and pretty flowers which Mr Yu left on the conductor stand and left -.- So other people took it -.- Omg! Next Monday is Mr Yeo's birthday and Friday is Mr Yu's birthday! But Tuesday no practice for O Level listening comprehension sake. Friday is sectionals as usual. Saturday Mr Yu doesn't know if Mr Yeo's coming. Actually all these birthdays are from Mavis who got it from facebook, haha. Oh yeah, when I was shifting timpani it scraped some skin of my foot and my foot bled -.- Then I was shifting into the room with Mayumi when suddenly someone help me then I turn around, eh? Jonathan! :D

So tired... Ok so he didn't wear orange shirt today, but still striped shirt -.- Omg my senior so nice, gave me biscuit again, from Australia, haha :) My father was supposed to come to fetch me but my mother sms last minute to say he's not coming. Haha, so Jonathan sent me to the bus stop. He just came back from Australia today :O Haha, I asked him if I sit behind or in front. He was like "In front la!" LOL! Cos my father never let me sit in front last time because he said the air bag can kill me, hahaha! Er... maybe because I never sat in front before, I bang my head when I was going out -.- Seriously, it's lame la! Can bang head like that! HAHA! Seriously...

CY didn't go to watch Tapestry :( Haiz... Anyway, I love yesterday! :) Bye!

♫♪I'm a happy 2nd Trombone!!♪♫

Band today! It's ex-Band Major Liang Rong's birthday today, but he didn't come back. Marching, Kevin didn't come! :( After a while the Sec 1s joined with us to march. The squad became so long that we can't even time together. I was timing but in front time differently. Then there was Scouts there shouting also. Why is it so bad? The way they march. Even Main Band also has some who seem like they completely shut themselves out when they were taught how to march. At almost 9am we stopped and went upstairs. Mr Yeo was there already and Mr Yu came very soon. Kevin came very soon. Yay, because today is the day we're going to tell the conductors he's not performing and I don't wanna do it alone. So Mr Yeo took the Sec 1s and Mr Yu took us. We warmed up, then went to tune. Wah, today I didn't have to ask for tuner, Jonathan (tuba) took and pass to me. Tuning today was fast. But when we went back in Mr Yu sent out Jay and Athirah from trumpet, but they WERE in tune, even though Jay didn't have to adjust. Then he sent out 2 horns, then I remembered, they went in without even tuning -.- Damn it. How am I supposed to remember who I have tuned, and go chase those I haven't tuned. Horn was so out of tune. At the end of practice Mr Yu indirectly scold me, say tuning 10min only then never tune properly. Anyway, we started with Symphonium. For almost the whole practice actually. Suky came at about... 10.10am. At 10.30am Ms Chen sms me to look for her during break, but we don't have break anymore now. So Kevin said I should go if not she wait till 11.30am haha. So I just asked Mr Yu for permission and went down. After she told me what she wanted to tell me, I rushed back up to tell Kevin first. I saw Jonathan (my senior) and Jezer outside the band room with a bronze and a gold bass trombone! The bronze used to be played by Jon so he took it. I said hi to them and said I didn't know they're there. When I went in Suky was grinning at me, as if she knew what happened. I was panting heavily and Kevin was like "What happened?" I tried to play but panting too hard, haha. When they stopped playing I told Kevin and he looked indifferent with just a slight smile, but I high fived him anyway, haha. I played 1st trombone part again today. When Mr Yeo finished with Sec 1s he came over. I think... Kevin didn't play the solo today, we didn't finish the song cos some people cannot follow tempo/conductor so we played over and again. At 11+ we started Procession to Peace and I played my 2nd trombone part with some of Kevin's 1st trombone, including the part where he's melody but I'm... same rhythm but different notes from melody. I some times forget and play my part, cos I didn't write his notes on my score. We finished the whole song. Before keeping the things, I told Suky too, yay she's happy! It's a secret. Then I told them not to keep trombone first cos need to spray before and after practice. Yesterday only before, today didn't. But they couldn't care less to look after my trombones, so only me and Kevin sprayed then we were last to keep. Heheh, screw so tight I couldn't unscrew, then I was last. No punishment today :O Then I also sms Cai Yan, and told Jezer, and sms Darryl. When I told Jezer, Suky say something about celebrate, he said "Celebrate for what??" Hahaha! :D Jezer went to eat and I took bus with Suky and talked about our section :) She always take 291 but always left earlier or later than me so never took with her.

Came back from camp on Friday. Practice was cancelled because of OLE. Anyway we reached school at 6+ so it makes no difference. Saturday still had band, and marching. Ah... leg pain. Everywhere pain. I realised the red on my ears are sunburns. Ooh first time... Then go up to the band room. I gave my section the sweets that I took for them at camp. I took extra specially for them eh, but ONLY Benjamin said "thank you" -.- You're welcome :) DC act like I owe him like that la -.- Actually they both don't want (Kevin 就不客气了 haha) then I say "I take for you one eh" then DC say "Oh ok lor" -.-"' Suky came again! :D I didn't even notice when she entered :O Wah whole day combined practice.

Mr Yeo and Yu did Symphonium and Procession to Peace. We haven't done that for a long time. Mr Yeo took the instruments to repair. He drove them in his car. Ah, the trombone is on the high cupboard then he ask me to take it instead of Kevin. Yay, my baby is going to be repaired! *^-^* Eee, what's wrong with me today? I play so lousily! :( :( :( ...

Mdm Yanti came and told us about what we're going to do this year. Wah, we have a lot of activities this year. At the end of the year, we might be going to Hong Kong! :D :D If we do well in the competitions, which is like... no, forget it then. Mr Yu said our 2 competitions is 3 months away. NBC and SIBC which is an international competition that's held in Singapore this year. After band we wrote on the farewell card for Ms Sharon Ong. I saw that Kevin sign off with "T.W" so I added a "SG" below my name :D

The sky was lighter in the east, and the horizon was a thin golden line. The clouds changed from gray to pink, and the mist was touched with gold. There was a silent moment when everything held its breath, and then the sun rose.

Yo! The End Of Year exams were over today. Today was Science paper. Last night I finally understood why Darryl Kor Kor can stay up till 2 in the morning... The paper was easier than expected. I'm 23, 22 behind me and 24 in front of me say it's very difficult. I hope I didn't write mostly wrong answers... No, I know I didn't. I was not sure of a few questions but I attempted everything :)

Oh ya, as I was about to start writing, Chen Hua MSN me with the whole poem after he saw my MSN message "Nothing Gold Can Stay..." which is the title and last line of the poem by Robert Frost. His class watched it in Sec 1 two years ago during Literature lesson. But they didn't use the book. He memorised the poem though he doesn't understand it, haha.

Anyway, Xuan Lin's birthday is tomorrow, Jaslyn's birthday is Sunday, my birthday is Monday (a month and a week from Jaslyn, haha)... I have Values Champion training on 21 and 22 October, a week before school ends for the year. Is that any sense?... Bye!

HAPPY BIRTDAY MY DEAREST DARRYL KOR KOR!!! :D

I know it's not your birthday today, but I'm going to Malaysia after band practice tomorrow so I won't be able to post my wish here, so I'm doing it today :) I will wish you tomorrow too :)

Thanks for being an awesome senior and big brother to me since I joined our section last year! Come to think of it, you never scolded me, really never, not even once. Maybe it was because I always learnt how to play so I didn't make many mistakes, or maybe because I'm your junior and also a girl and you don't want to scare me out of the section, haha! Whatever the reason, thanks for the patience, I appreciate it :) Now that I'm a good player, it's not because of myself, credit goes to my seniors as well! I will never forget the first day I saw you because the first thing you called me was "Girl", haha! Sorry if I've been a bad junior (I know I have) and for those times where we had cold war for no reason. It's really for no reason at all, I'm also puzzled. It's funny (really!), one day we will just "I ignore you, you ignore me" for nothing then after some days it'll be ok again for no reason. Haha! Don't ask why I did that, I don't know, and you also did that, haha! Weird -.o Anyway, you've been very nice to me ^_^

How have you been? :D Studying on your birthday isn't nice but it's for yourself, so go ALL THE WAY! "加油！加油！No matter what happens, don't think of anything, just do your best!" Ok? I know you can do it, you're so clever! But don't be lame as to go study till 2am and sleep till 5am again -.- All the best for your prelims and O' Levels :D By the way, you beat me by a grade in Chinese, I got B4 including other components, if not I'll get C I think.

♫♪I'm a happy 2nd Trombone!!♪♫

200th post. I didn't blog for one week, which is last Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday :S But I have reference from Jaslyn's blog, heh heh heh. Oh yes, I got haircut on Sunday, yucky.

Tuesday 14 July practice. I ate lunch with Jas and went up to the band room. I was gonna do Maths homework but Xue Qi and Chong Jin came and distracted me. I got songs from Xue Qi's phone and was doing Chong Jin's English for her, for fun. Then in the end didn't do my Maths.

Later we went in and set up. I forgot much, but warm ups was definitely Chromatic Low Tones and Total Training I think. Then The Incredibles! Mr Yu came as expected. Last time he said he's coming around 12 or 13, so I thought would be Tuesday, 14. He came at about 4pm. He looks like he cut hair too. I'm not sure, but his fringe is like mine, haha! (Ya, I got SHORT fringe now -.-) He asked one of us to go with him first. Haha, everyone asked Cheng Heng to go, I also. Kevin: Why me?
Me: Because you're senior.
Haha, so he went until 4.40pm+. Oh ya, very funny thing. Ms Leong's phone was in her bag and it rang but she's in the music room. So Mr Yeo took it to her. Just as he closed the store room door (store room is linking the rooms) Kevin came in from our band room door, haha! Then he went into the store room also. Then Mr Yeo came out of it, with Kevin behind, HAHAHA! They say it's like magic trick. Kevin took tuner from him. Then went out again. When they came back we were playing Incredibles halfway.

Then when we finished, I went out. Just then it was a short break. Mr Yu ask if I want break, I say no, as usual, heh. Play scales again, as usual. He always start with scales. Mr Yeo came a while to see. Heh, tiring. Then Incredibles. Oh ya, he talked about planes , it's related to the air that I'm supposed to blow into the trombone. Must have enough air if not it won't go straight, it'll be like a plane in turbulence. He said something about Xi An in China also. Something about many stone figures of soldiers there. I think he's talking about the Mandate of Heaven. We learn in History last year, but when he asked if I learn Chinese History I said no, haha. So, he said the 'trail' is not called trail, trail is one note. Then I said "Glist?" yup, I learnt that alr, from Jezer. Glist starts on the 4th count. I glist from C to F, but probably he thinks it's not nice so he told me to glist to A instead. Yeah, then 5+ I went back in and Jaslyn went out. He doens't play eupho but he can teach her nice sound. Haha, her senior stayed inside. When I came in they were doing Heal The World. Mr Yeo did bar 35. I just missed my bar 30 melody -.- Then I forgot what happened alr.

Thursday 16 July, I brought my Art sketchbook although no art today cos I want Jas to help me draw. Art's on Friday and we're supposed to start painting on Friday but I wanna finish first, cos in class doing art is irritating. So she looked through my D&T book and found plane picture and drew it. Xuan Lin came. I took songs from her too. Rebekah came and told her to ge the key. She went and came back without the key, so I and Jas went with her. We found Ms Ong this time, and we ran up the stairs. Kevin came in very soon after we unlocked. No conductors today.

We warmed up with the usual things and did The Incredibles and Ponyo. The Incredibles was yucky, the percussionist kept rushing and play wrong rhythm then the whole band play yucky because of that. And got once Kevin came in early one beat, I think everyone else did also. -.-""' After Ponyo, it was 4pm already so Rebekah got us to sectionals till 4.25pm on Heal The World. After that we went back and play The Incredibles and Heal The World. Ms Deepa came up, she was just watching. The Incredibles was still yucky, Heal The World was "not together" according to the majors, but of course better. We're dismissed later than 4.30pm, but never mind.

Friday 17 July, all alone. After lunch I went upstairs to put my bag then went toilet. When I came back, miracle woah, Jas' senior sitting there alr, and it was only 1+. Take my favourite spot, GRRR -.- So I took my History things and studied on the other side's table. I saw Kevin and Chen Hua go in, at I think 2 so I went also. Sat there and continued reading but very noisy la althoug only a few people. Then I set up. Aiya! I forgot what happened today alr, la. Jaslyn you la, blog so little! Haha! Mr Yeo's not happy today, for obvious reasons. I asked Serene if we could call a locksmith to unlock the bronze trombone case, she said she'll sms Ms Deepa. I told Suky on MSN on Thursday about that, she say call locksmithWe were dismissed earlier than 6pm today :O

Saturday 17 July, sectionals but Mr Yeo came. Kevin came at 8.08am about there. We played everything today, in order. He decided on the order to play at Takashimaya, Ponyo first, then I forgot. Have to remember!!! There's Ponyo, The Incredibles, Heal The World, Kokomo, YMCA and Sesame Street. Mr Yeo's still not happy. We ran through once in all the songs in order. Mr Yeo asked how Andrew (Trumpet) injured his hand.
Mr Yeo: They say you flagged a taxi. I don't believe it, (He asked how he got injured)
Andrew: I flagged a taxi
Mr Yeo: (Laughs, really)
So actually it wasn't the taxi that injured him, it's the car in front of the taxi that go bang his hand -.- And drive off after that -.- Then practise until 9.30 break till 10am. Rebekah and some others got cake for Mr Yeo, his birthday's today :O After break we continued. After a while, he asked us to go for sectionals on Flight Of The Piasa (finally, we've never played it in combined). He said we can scrap Mamma Mia! and I was like "Har?..." Then he said (I think he was talking to me) "You like ah?" I think I nodded and someone else said something too, then he said "Ok lor, but you all must practise ah" Hehhehheh.

Then Mr Yeo talking to someone halfway I think, when Rebekah went out to take the cake and say "Happy birthday, tomorrow is your birthday right?" HAHAHA! It's so sudden and funny. We sang him a birthday song in English. Kevin conitnued in Chinese but nobody did. Then he asked "Where's my Chinese version?!" Haha, so ya Chinese version. No Malay or Sri Lankan (Faris and Andrew) version. He blew the one candle and cut the cake. We took band picture. Lol, he put the chocolate cake on the conductor stand. Actually Kevin stand in front but too tall so he sat right in front, in front of Mr Yeo even.

I know I got little fringe la huh, but it wouldn't be so ugly if that idiot didn't cut it like that ya? Then we went to music room for sectionals on Flight Of The Piasa. Mr Yeo said A Brazillian Portrait also, but we didn't practise that one. I put a score in front of that alr, I think YMCA. Anyway, after that dismissed, bye! Happy birthday Mr Yeo! Haha!
