Hi, I'm back from Hong Kong Winter Band Festival 2010! We were scheduled to touch down in SG at midnight but the flight got delayed 5h and only took off at 1am this morning so I reached at 4.25am and slept at almost 7am when I was starting to see daylight already. I woke up at 3pm...
First day when we reached HK we went to Victoria Harbour and Victoria Peak! Took pictures with some people at airport and those places ^_^ But for this trip, I'm mostly with Jaslyn, yucks! Haha, just joking, we sat in the plane together and shared the room (with Sandy) :) Oh the plane trip there was funny. We were in row 61 but we walk to the end of the whole plane and saw it ended at 60, then we were like, 61??? The whole plane ends here, there's no cabin behind already! Then we saw Dion and Kwot Sin at row 61, only has 4 seats in the middle, no 2 columns at the side, haha, no wonder can't find...
2nd day was Disneyland day! :) We went to Repulse Bay & Stanley Market first. Repulse Bay had lots of Buddha statues of all kinds. The market was boring for me. Aisyah got scared by a lot of dogs there :s They're pets of course, some people had multiple dogs! After lunch we went to Disneyland for about 6.5 hours. I actually didn't want because I don't like theme parks, but it's nice and quite fun :) I was with XQ and Jas. We can't take group picture because only 3 of us, so 2 by 2 only :( Both my camera batteries died today. I changed to 2nd battery in Disneyland, but it finished too in Disneyland -.- Today's parade saw the first SG band to play in the parade, Fajar Sec! Their trombones are cool... We saw the amazing fireworks at 8pm, like the one they play before every Disney show on tv! Pretty! :D Look like stars! ^_^ Late dinner... Today I am super pissed off because yesterday we were supposed to go to Avenue of Stars but they shifted it to today, and today when I asked the teacher, she said it's cancelled. And she didn't even say so till I asked. WTF, she said she asked some people and most preferred the night market. She didn't even ask me, and neither did I hear her ask anyone. What rubbish, cancelling part of the itinerary when it's fixed already. After I went back to the hotel I was still fuming over the phone. Friday was competition day. In the morning when we gathered at the hotel lobby I didn't even recognise NAS Band all in black! I saw my junior and got shocked because I never saw him look so clever, haha. We went to Disneyland Hotel for breakfast. Then went next door to the Cinderella Ballroom for sound check. After which we traveled a bit to Inspiration Lake. Got a lecture and then practiced there, then lunch. Then we went back to our hotel to change and do singing practice on the top floor. Damn scary, we were singing the end of High School Musical then we heard a super loud "BANG!" and the whole glass panel in front of us (not right in front though) shattered but didn't break. Scary... the glass panel is from the floor to the ceiling, very big, and it's totally shattered, you can see the cracks in it, as if it got shot, like what you see in HK dramas. Anyway, no one was hurt, luckily, and we finished our singing practice and headed for Disneyland hotel again. Something very funny happened. Yuan Ching Concert Band was waiting to enter the Cinderella Ballroom for their competition and we were waiting also there to tune and play a bit in the Sleeping Beauty room. Then when we entered my junior walked past their conductor and she went "Oh! This guy's so handsome!" Then her whole band laughed, and I wanted to LOL but cannot because later cannot play properly if I'm laughing. Haha...! After tuning we performed and then went for dinner. Today, the Avenue of Stars is back on again! Yeah! :D And so is the night market... but that's not important. I thought I would see Jay Chou's handprint there, but don't have. And, the one with wax figues is at Victoria peak shopping centre which we went to on day 1. Can only see Bruce Lee's wax figure because it's outside but others are inside which have to pay :( At Avenue of Stars we saw the Symphony of Lights there :) Then went to night market in groups that the teachers decided. I was with trombone & sax section. It's quite awkward being with my section although it's MY juniors.. ._. especially the "handsome" one, but I don't know why, it's just like that, haha.
4th day Saturday is our Disneyland performance day! So we're back in Disneyland and after performance we can stay there for a while to play. I watched the bands after us. Yishun JC played Procession to Peace too! But their 2 trombones is a little weird, they neither used position 6 nor 1 with trigger, and it looks like they're faking because they didn't go past position 4. But they're together so it's not quite possible they fake together, but there's still possibility. It just doesn't look like they're playing the melody in rhythm... they played a 2nd song, Super Junior's Sorry Sorry and Lady Gaga's Bad Romance, nice! :) I saw the parade again today, but no more Fajar Symphonic band, they used Disneyland band. But Fajar's trombones were nicer... At about 5pm we gathered to watch the Lion King performance, got Can You Feel The Love Tonight and Circle of Life, haha. Then we watched Disneyland band perform :) Then we went to the Cinderella Ballroom for the gala dinner. I went with Sandy, Mr Yeo and teacher on stage to get the award... There was guest appearance by Mickey and Minnie! :D We all took section photo with them ^_^
Sunday's our last day in HK. We went to the HK Museum of History. Then we had a band workshop, whole band together. Then lunch at McD YUCKS! -.- I'm eating burger for the first time in about a year, disgusting. We had a bit of shopping after that and went to the airport already. No dinner, our plane was scheduled to leave at 8pm but, the toilet has no water so we got delayed for 5h till 1am this morning! I only slept at almost 7am when the sun was coming out... What a fruitful trip, with happy moments, pissed off times and times when I'm just bored and missing people.
On Thursday, we were supposed to get our new band uniform. Darryl came back! :) But I want Kevin...! :'( Almost everyone got problem with theirs, some tailor, measured already still wrong? And if that's not enough to prove that the expensive prize is a rip-off, how about saying none of the 3 pieces fit me? Shirt too big (maybe you don't find this surprising), pants and blazer too SMALL?! And, the pants is the hardest thing to wear I've ever tried to wear, yes, that small. So I returned the pants and blazer but Mdm Yanti said the oversized shirt is never mind -.- The current China uniform I still wear without blazer all the way to school, but this silver one, so big it only is nice with the blazer to cover it. Must tuck in (anyway in or out also ugly), so long...
On Friday, went to watch St Gabriel's band concert at the school. Well... no comment, if not I'll have a lot to say. But, they are better than our band.
On Wednesday I'll be leaving Singapore very early... The flight's at 6.45am, I have to be at the airport at 4.30, I'm probably gonna have to wake up at 3am... I'm definitely gonna miss you, that's obvious because I already do...
Hi hi! :) I'm back from the 36th NCO Band Camp! :D 5 days... tiring but super FUN! I've never laughed so much in 5 days and never eaten so many times in 5 days before, haha! The laughter is thanks to my NCO Trombone Section 2010! We're the most hyper section in the NCO Band! They always say funny things then start laughing like crazy, haha, they're a fun bunch :) During lectures in the auditorium (that's 1/3 the size of the one in school) and even combined practice with Mr Kajiyama (conductor of Aichi Meiden High School, Japan) they also so active, haha. The guys definitely eat a lot also. And of course, I met my twinny there! We had an exchange with 5 other bands on Valentines' Day last year. After that I found WRS band blog and saw that there's a Rebecca trombonist who was ABM. Now we're both BM and my twinny is also a small girl who eats slowly ^_^ We had 16 trombonist, even more than trumpets. They said this year has a lot of trombones, yeah! Trombones rock! Of course I have a BM friend from Percussion too, China girl :) I met her on the bus to the pre-camp briefing :D
The Passing Out Parade yesterday was totally cool! We rock! It's the best camp I ever had. The kind of feeling you have when you finish a song and the audience scream, and you stand there basking in the glory and pride with our instruments held high... Incomparable to anything I've ever experienced! :)
Today still had band practice and marching in the morning. Wake up early again... Tired eh... Hazirah taught NAS band what she learnt! :) During combined practice, this band sings so softly... At NCO when Mr Kajiyama told us to sing, wow, a full sound. The playing also is so soft! I start missing NCO Band already, so early in the morning... But I'm back to my beloved NAS Band now :) Today time seems to fly. Nearing 12pm I didn't even feel like practice was ending... Oh ya, my Baby (trombone) is at home ^_^ I'll keep Baby here for now, because I'm using Taiwan anyway ^_^ Now I can practice at home with my favourite trombone! One of my favourite la... :D
Yesterday was Music In The City performance. In the morning I came to school and saw the person that I asked to borrow a tie from, but I didn't even remember until he came and passed me the tie, haha! Then later in class during recess, I tried to tie the tie (because I've always been using the old tie). It's so long! I tried for the entire recess, and even after recess. Finally during Chinese class I managed to make it the right length. Yixuan told me to just make the back longer then fold it up, haha. I think I spent 40min doing it, so I didn't want to take it off and wore it throughout Chinese lesson for 1.5 hours, haha! Anyway it's nice, there's silver :) but my favourite colour is gold. After Chinese class then I took it out cos had to go to lab for bio. After school, lunch at the canteen. Released late cos Ms Farah came in after the last lesson and gave us back a paper to file in. So after I filed I rushed to canteen and rushed to eat. Just when I was gonna go toilet, Mr LY and LY came! So I quickly went and rushed up to band room. We practised a bit from 3pm. Mr Yeo's not happy, but I know why. At 3+ some Sec 4s were outside the door watching us. I saw Kevin from the side of my eyes. I wouldn't be wrong because he's the only one that long, haha. 3.40pm we started shifting our things down cos we're supposed to leave school at 4pm. In the end we left at 4+ and the bus is not big enough for me to sit alone with my trombone, stand and file, so had to cramp -.-
When we reached there, it was like going back in time. We dropped off at the same place as last year, then crossed the road and walk along the shopping centre to our performance area. Today the band is damn pissing off, as usual when there is a performance because that's when you see them worse than they already are. They put their instruments at 2 places firstly, and the 2nd group of people put their instruments in the middle of nowhere. Then some person came and put his hand on a tuba and got his friend to take a picture -.- After I told Mrs Tan and she told him he's still acting like he has no face. And also, I hate it when people kick instruments, it's not like their blind. Well I think blind people are actually less likely to do that. Only shows how #$%^&*( the band is. And more than once ok. If you every hear or see me using obscenity, you should know what it's for because I don't use them like English. There are some things that I seriously hate to the core. As if treating my dear trombones like trash isn't enough, some #$%^&* still don't have the responsibility to put it back properly or even apologise which is obviously what they should do... Piss me off only $%^&*( sick of their shit attitude and behaviour, sick of their lousiness. They sound like shit. They should seriously just get out of here, not like they even play nicely.
Anyway, I think the organisation also sucks because Mr Yeo wanted to do something different from the schedule but since that's not part of the schedule, the teacher says we can't and also don't know what to do. So I as Band Major am supposed to know? We had dinner and apple juice before the rehearsal which was yucky. Then after that the actual performance we were 2nd, after Guzheng. I think it's just a disgrace to be there wearing uniform, tie and making noise. There were 5 CCAs. Jonathan was there, I asked him after that. He said it's not bad... wait NOT bad?! It's obviously yuck but saying it's not bad is a lie right? To me. Anyway, what a sucky day. Would have been better if I just went to school and went home. Instead of seeing @#$%^&*( knocking my 心肝宝贝 trombones -.- Damn it, I'm so damn sick of them.
This whole week I had no time to do my homework!!! 12 July Monday, I made CY's birthday card for 3 hours after coming back from dental appointment which is so far from my house. Actually not 3 hours straight, I did 1.5h then went to have dinner and continued another 1.5 hours, haha. 13 July Tuesday there was band practice, then when I came home I folded 16 stars for CY in a bottle. I made 16 then after putting into the bottle I found one pink one, then I counted in the bottle but it's hard to count. I remembered making 2 of that colour but only saw 1 so I figured there was only 15 so I put it in. Then 14 July Wednesday had rehearsal for Tapestry 4 with other CCAs. Band is damn irresponsible, just ditch their instruments and ALL go in to watch dance perform. Only Mavis stayed with me to look after those instruments. It's not the Band Major's job to look after the instruments that you dump there ok. If it's my job, then it's all the majors job too. Freaking irritated. I told them to bring it with them already, dumb or what. That's the most irresponsible thing a band member can do other than slack. You can conclude this is the most irresponsible band ever. Then the rehearsal delayed until we ended after 7pm, then people still wasting time in the band room over trivial idiotic stuff like they got all the time in the world. Damn them.
Finally, yesterday was CY's birthday and Ngee Ann Tapestry 4. I liked yesterday, it started off nice :) In morning assembly I happened to sit beside CY, yay! So I gave him the card and present :) He's very cute, hahaha. “谢谢你。。。谢谢你。。。真的谢谢你哦，好紧张哦。。。”Is that cute or what? :D Come to think of it, I think I heard him thanking people profusely before, haha. Eh, that's only the 2nd time he talked to me in person :O I hope he likes it!! ^_^ Then I kept smiling through the assembly, hahaha, because I love birthdays (not my own) and I love to make cards for them! :D Then first period from 8-9am. Someone said "Today is Cui Yi's birthday" Then 3R1 sang a birthday song for him in English. Then when we sang it in Chinese he so shy he go use his bag to cover his face, HAHA! After English, I left at 9am to go band. When I reached there, Wai Yee said to take our stuff and go to the hall.
We rehearsed there twice. And the 2nd time, they said the choir wanted the curtains open, so it means we can't set up the chairs and get ready and sit there while they are performing! -.- So we have less time to prepare. Why the heck would they want the curtains open and see our stands and files behind? -.- So after the 2nd rehearsal we went back to the band room. Lunch was from 12.30pm - 4pm and Mr Yu would come at 4.30pm. I was planning to go back to 3R1 to sit in for a few minutes of E Maths, but in the end when I got there they were dismissed already. I went in to ask if there was homework, no, but they started on trigonometry, argh! Then I went to wait for Chong Jin with Filzah. CY saw me and thanked me again. Then I thought he wanna shake hand, then he walk off, haha! Omg, that's so paiseh! But it's ok because he's birthday boy :)
Soon 4R1's class ended and CJ came out. We were going off when Mavis sms to ask where I was. I opened her class door and went "I'm here!" Hahaha! So CJ, Filzah, Mavis, XQ and I went for lunch together :) We had a long lunch since we only had to report back at 4pm. Chen Hua sms me to say jia you! :D Later Serene also did so, haha. We went back to school early and I couldn't get the key because Mrs Tan was at home -.- So I got Ms Chen to take it from her table. Finally, we went upstairs and Mavis and I played with the harmony director, playing Jay Chou songs. Haha, today 2 of us keep singing his songs, like 七里香，听妈妈的话，爱我别走. She thought that 七里香 was 晴天, haha. Mr Yu came as Wai Yee was conducting warm ups and taught her a bit. Then we practiced until 5. Suky came, but then at 5 the teacher said it was dinner time -.- So we went to canteen but our food haven't came and we waited for so long -.- Waste time, could have practiced more. So we went to change first and our food came. By then it was already 6pm -.- We went up at about 6.30pm. At 7pm we went down to the hall. Eh, I thought they wanted the curtains open... We went in to put our stands then came back out. But when we went in to perform the curtains were closed... Hm... Anyway, argh! I played a wrong note! -.- At bar 86 the important accompanying after the solo (which I didn't play -.-) It's Eb D C D, I went C D C D cos same position... under-pitched!!! -.- Grrr...! After that we went up to the band room to put our stuff and came back for the finale where all the performers come out and the school present our conductors/coach/whatever with a token of appreciation.
I later realised the token is a bouquet of real and pretty flowers which Mr Yu left on the conductor stand and left -.- So other people took it -.- Omg! Next Monday is Mr Yeo's birthday and Friday is Mr Yu's birthday! But Tuesday no practice for O Level listening comprehension sake. Friday is sectionals as usual. Saturday Mr Yu doesn't know if Mr Yeo's coming. Actually all these birthdays are from Mavis who got it from facebook, haha. Oh yeah, when I was shifting timpani it scraped some skin of my foot and my foot bled -.- Then I was shifting into the room with Mayumi when suddenly someone help me then I turn around, eh? Jonathan! :D
So tired... Ok so he didn't wear orange shirt today, but still striped shirt -.- Omg my senior so nice, gave me biscuit again, from Australia, haha :) My father was supposed to come to fetch me but my mother sms last minute to say he's not coming. Haha, so Jonathan sent me to the bus stop. He just came back from Australia today :O Haha, I asked him if I sit behind or in front. He was like "In front la!" LOL! Cos my father never let me sit in front last time because he said the air bag can kill me, hahaha! Er... maybe because I never sat in front before, I bang my head when I was going out -.- Seriously, it's lame la! Can bang head like that! HAHA! Seriously...
CY didn't go to watch Tapestry :( Haiz... Anyway, I love yesterday! :) Bye!
Yo! Went to TPJC Band concert yesterday to support Suky! Went with Jonathan and Kwot Sin (who happens to be his cousin?!) Hansel sat with us there, and saw some familiar faces like Liang Rong, Tian Hoe and Brayton. In TPJC band were Benedict and Sheng Hao. SH and Brayton were like "Isn't that girl from our band? Trombone right?" OMG, they forgot me, haha. Jonathan almost caused us to be late! He arrived the last, but nevertheless at 7.10 the agreed time. But he went the wrong way and we had to rush to VCH the right way. He walk damn fast, when I went to meet them I thought I rush quite fast already. I had to run to keep up with him -.- Haha, but it's ok since he hasn't been there for 3 years... I just bathed -.-
We reached just in time and bought tickets from the counter since Suky didn't reserve for us to save envelopes. Sitting between 2 guys KS and Hansel is so... uncomfortable. I was quite 心不在焉 because of that, and because of other things I don't know what. Maybe sit too far behind, so not paying attention... Can see Suky! :D Wow they got 7 trombones, but I think Main Band 5 only, 2 are alumni.
During the interval they went to the circle seats, but went down again -.- I didn't wanna go up anyway. 2nd half of concert was better because I sat at the end beside Hansel only. A bit more attentive but still not totally, like the TJC one :( Toward the end, they had some gimmick like a little dance haha. Benedict's not enthusiastic, awww... haha. Then when it ended we waited for Suky to come out. She took so long that Hansel say she repairing instrument or polishing with Brasso, haha! When she finally came out, I saw she got trombone badge! :D She said she ate medicine and her mouth dry couldn't play trombone :( Then the 3 of us trombonists took picture! :D They same height eh... half head taller than me -.-

After that, the guys and I walk to the MRT station, ah... Jonathan say I talkative -.o Actually if you've seen me more than twice in 2 years you'll know I'm not, haha. But the one about I'm "So small"... ok compared to him it's true. He reminds me of Kevin, the first (and only) time we went to concert together. See, I have so many nice seniors ^_^ Bye bye! :)
Oh! The silence on my tag board has finally been broken by Francoise and Emeline! Yay, thanks :D So I will blog again.
15 May Saturday The TJC Symphonic Band concert was awesome! :D Their sound is so full and loud and nice, not like some other band... From where I was seating, I can see a first trombone clearly haha. I thought I wouldn't be able to see trombones cos last time I went to Suky's concert couldn't see any. Too bad it's not Darryl... :( They had a 20min interval in which Cliff and Darryl came out, but since I'm so far in I can't say anything, all I can do is look at him admiringly (admiring he's in such a good-sounding band). After the interval they had their play by the junior band.
Sleeping Beauty was never meant to be like that, haha. Cliff voiced Prince Charming :O I didn't know till the credits, he has a nice voice, haha :D Darryl only acted as the Green Witch's fireball, when she use it to attack the Prince Charming. Run across the stage holding the jellyfish-like fireball, haha! Then at the end they dance to the song Gee, which was played by a group of people behind (who have been playing the entire play). I saw Cliff right in front, haha his actions so jerky, so cute! But Darryl never appear at all eh :(
After that, they had Clarinet and Flute ensemble performance. Then back to the full band performance. It was rather long, definitely longer than I expected, 2.5h, but nice :D I wish our band could have a concert like that too...! They had their alumni in the circle seats (on top) and they have band cheer! We don't -.- Anyway, I smsed Darryl later. HE'S HOT!! HAHA!
Happy Founder's Day! Yesterday it was, but I came back very late at night. The performance was ok... During the performance I suddenly remembered something. Last time during a performance, I could always remember which note I play wrongly because it can be counted in one hand. But now, after having braces, I'm mispitching so many notes. Kevin's solo was great, although his 3 high high Gs were not perfect. First one pitched then dropped, second one cleverly skipped but it didn't sound too incomplete, third one pitched and dropped too. But other than that and one note which was flat due to position too low, it was perfect, and beautiful, really. The sound was a nice trombone sound, a very typical Kevin sound :) Gave him a sweet to cheer up. Being Band Major for this band is -.- But I'm NOT gonna give it up ok! For the sake of my dear trombone section and band.

Hello, I decided to blog because someone promised he will read my blog :) So, I missed school for the whole week except Friday. We had Physics and A Maths, which Mrs Pong stopped teaching at 10am because some people had to leave to prepare for the performances. If Mr Yeo wanted to cancel the band quintet's performance, he should have said so right?! That Saturday that we were supposed to practice was 2 weeks ago, and he didn't say anything. -.- Anyway, Jaslyn ask if there's practice yesterday. I said Kevin say no, but she want me to ask Zi Yuan to make sure. Wtf should I ask when I totally believe my senior -.- But I was bored so I asked. And obviously the answer is no. Then I asked about Tuesday when the Sec 1s came. He said the Sec 1s try instruments, then they (main band) had sectionals outside while they were inside with Mr Yeo. And Andrew said "I think Ding Cong use your mouthpiece or your trombone..." I was like ?!
Back to class, I have 11 homeworks now -.- In the morning I got lollipop from Grace for Valentine's Day :) She gave the class. Last year I had more, haha. 11am we went up to the hall and had the celebration till 12.30pm. CO, Guzheng and Dance all performed, why can't we?! -.- The fashion show was interesting. Every class is supposed to dress up a representative as an animal from the zodiacs. We have a pig! The finale was lion dance. I was wondering... do all lion dance troups use the same drum & cymbals rhythm? And how do they memorise such a long piece? While people were looking at the pink lions I was looking at the percussionists some times. I was thinking about the off beat part. Funny right? People are watching the lions, I am listening to the drum and thinking "This is off-beat" haha.

Yesterday's Sec 1 Orientation was fun! I missed first Bio SPA but that's fine because first SPAs are always just talks. I was excused from 1pm onwards because I am soloist :D After eating at canteen with Jaslyn and Xuan Lin, I did my A Maths. But don't know how to do, just nice Xue Qi came :) I was doing a question but decided to stop there since from there I know how to continue, so we went upstairs to band room before 2pm. Benjamin sat behind us when I finished. When 3 of us were buying food, I saw one of my classmates walking around the canteen. Then expecting her not to know I ask XL if she knows him. To my surprise, yes, Ngee Ann Pri guy. I thought he was Francoise but she said his name's Andre, and he's local, cos I thought foreigner. Ha.
We went upstairs and the conductors came together. Aiya, Mr Yeo Trombone + Trumpet stand :( At 2pm already got some Sec 1s come, then we practised in front of them. Haha no warm ups. Better for me in a sense, so I won't be tired. But we did perform for them too, but one group didn't hear us play. Mr Yeo got powerpoint slide presentation. We play the solos, then Tequila, then the slide show, then Mamma Mia just Dancing Queen. Kevin came before 3 but cannot come in -.- We took turns to solo. There's once me and Jas returned from toilet alr got some Sec 1s. Since we ran back, I very tired, so Kevin play the solo. After which I scream damn high pitched :D Fun fun! :D Was in very high spirits, see. But tired after that. Today I got voice block eh, I woke up and my voice cannot go down. But later in the day it went back. Wah heng ah, if not I'll sound like girly girl (GG haha!). Bye bye! :)
Today's Student Learning Festival/ Open House. Those performing report at 7.30, those not, at 8am. So I came at 8. I thought there's no practice but there is! :O Mr Yeo and Mr Yu came. All Xue Qi's juniors didn't bring their flutes, haha! So Mr Yeo made them get it somehow. He was shocked that they thought there was no practice. Those 10 performing (Band 10!) go to the auditorium while the rest stay to practise, haha. We warmed up till 9+ then Band 10 rehearsed while we listened. Wah, have to play standing. Need to bow even. The bowing and lifting instruments is Rebekah's cue. Kevin's very outstanding, of course :) Haha, then after Ponyo, I told him he played something wrong, then we didn't realise, but they all bowed and he didn't. Then Mr Yeo scold him -.-''' Tsk, wanna scold at least scold the right person la!!! Then they went down to the auditorium. Mr Yeo gave us a break and told us to prepare Mamma Mia! So I went to look for the 1st and 2nd trombone original scores. I found first, but where's 2nd? I kept looking but it's not there. Then later, I asked Benjamin and he said he didn't return it -.-''' so I lent him my own. The remaining band was sucky. Sounds totally ridiculous and we stopped almost everywhere. Finally at 10+ the Band 10 came back and we continued practising. Someone I thought looked like a senior (like Jezer) walked past the open door. Kevin said "Jezer eh." "Really?!..." I didn't know, couldn't see clearly. He walk past quite a few times... At about 11.50am we went for lunch 30min. We got coupons for the lunch. $2 coupon go exchange for the packet food, so it's free. We went to Jezer and I only said hi, haha. Then he asked Kevin what time we end. Then we (me & Kevin) went lunch (separately). Taufiq said no one told him to come. I thought Suky did, since she asked when there's Saturday practice cos NS men are free only on weekends. Hmm... I got his number from Taufiq! :D Didn't finish lunch, rush up and reached Rebekah at 12:20:00 haha! Reached the door a few seconds later :D
Then continue practising Mamma Mia! Haha! There's this incident that's damn funny! :D Our band room door was closed then someone open the door and straight away step in, then Josiah (Sec 1 clarinet) went "AIYO!!!!" and the whole band burst out into hysterical laughter HAHAHAHAHA!!!! But she's like so thick-skinned. I think she's a student leading a group of... outsiders. She just come in with the group and stand there. All the others who came by didn't even come in, she just step in like it's her house and stand there. Rebekah said they wanted to hear the band when we were having lunch. So we played Mamma Mia! At bar 41 (just finished the 1st page), Mr Yeo stopped the band, and then said "Oh, we're not performing for you. We're just having our normal practice." Haha. Doesn't she feel paiseh at all? -.- Then they left after a few seconds. Idiots. We're supposed to end at 2 but Mr Yeo said he's been listening to us the whole day and doesn't wanna listen anymore, so we ended at almost 1pm. Josiah still continuing about the girl, say what she looks like the kopitiam auntie...... haha! Bye :)

Good morning! Today is NAS school holiday because yesterday's Founder's Day and I have no breakfast because my parents are working. So I'm only drinking milk and eating some fruit bar -.- Yesterday was cool! First period gone due to prize presentation. Then EL, recess, Geography and last lesson is Form Teacher's time. Report book, 15 challenge T-shirt, cake (that something special) and friendship band by 4R1 during 15h challenge. In the morning Mr Lim said we'll get a piece of cake. "Tell me who doesn't eat a cake on a birthday," haha, cool. YAY, I HAVE NO REMEDIAL CLASS! The T-shirt is short. I thought size 34 would be bigger than that, and there's Tampines East CCC logo on one sleeve -.- There's 2 boxes of cake and many pieces of different cakes in each one. I took yellow one, heheh, a lot of cream (I don't like) but not bad. Friendship band, I got one that's pink, blue & green. Colour combination isn't very good, and there's a mistake, haha, so I think it's done by a guy. There's more guys than girls in 4R1 by the way. Dismissed at 12.30pm! I went home because practice starts at 4pm, and to get my band uniform. At 2pm or so, I sms Dar to ask if we have to be in uniform at 4pm when practice starts or can change later. But he didn't reply, so I asked CH who did. He say must change first. Then I ask (because he lives so near school) if he's going to school in band uniform, he said he's there already. :O He didn't go home despite living so near, but I did despite living so far. So I bathed and wore band uniform and tie the red and silver ribbons on my hair. I wore my stockings alr then realised the hole very big -.- so took it off. I wore full band uni alr (including shoes) then I just stepped out of my house then Dar reply need to report in full band uni -.- Haha, at least he didn't ignore me. I thought he not happy with me eh! :( :D
When I reached the room, very few people were there. CH was there. Dar's trombone was there (but he wasn't, go wash mouthpiece) so I went to set up and wash mouthpiece. ...the bad thing about long days is I can't remember what happened exactly! :( I think we practised until slightly past 5pm then went for dinner at the canteen. Buffet dinner but not that hungry. We're supposed to be back upstairs by 5.45pm but half the band was don't know where. I can't remember when Taufiq conducted March 'Blue Sky' and Monmouth twice each was before or after dinner. First time too slow then 2nd time faster. Actually I think 2nd time we did MBS faster then never do Monmouth. Anyway, after dinner was no proper practice.
I forgot when..but I think it's Taufiq conduct that time, the slower and faster one. I finally open my mouth and tell Darryl that the MBS note is C flat. Then he ask where. That time our stands in the hall alr, his file put against a chair in front on the floor but I never use file at all. Then I squint at his score trying to look for it, but can't see so I check my own file (it's 2 bars before I), but change song alr, to Monmouth. Then after Monmouth when we go back to MBS then I got to tell him it's 2 bars before I. Then he ask me to wait while he look for I, haha, and he finally smiled... He said it's Bb, know why? He's looking at 3 bars before I, haha. Now he's got it correct :) Position 4 ok, not 2 ah! No proper practice but some people were playing together, so I played with them :) (See I'm so nice) I rmb at Monmouth got 3 quaver notes that none of them (those playing) have then I played and Xue Qi look at me, haha. Cos before that's her melody. Although it's only 3 quavers, it's the melody! They kept playing somg after song, haha. I stopped sometimes of course. At 7+ I felt sleepy, haha! Then I put my head down then Darryl talk to me. I was like 'huh?' 'You ok or not?' 'Ya' LOL! Then I ask Jas to go out and walk with me. I saw CH playing bball downstairs at the bball court! I took 3 pics. There's CH, CH, Terrence and 3 CO guys. Black and white, haha.

Cheng Heng is my cool senior! :D There was some cool actions when he played :D Cool right? My senior la! Me & Jas supposed to go walk but I too engrossed watching him play, haha. Then we go to classroom block, so dark, and walk back. By then he go back alr, haha. After he took attendance LR had a gift for us! He made a card (like the one CY gave on Valentines' Day) and bought chocolates! He called us one by one and we went up to take. I realised he spelt my name wrongly. Cheng Heng was reading his message out loud. Good guy he go read as good gay even when Dar tell him it's guy. When I was showing Jas, I showed her the front first (with the wrong name) then I show the back where there's a message, he spelt right. When I showed her the back, Darryl saw the front (she sits in front of me) and exclaimed that he spelt my name wrongly. Something like "Orh! You spell her name wrongly!...." (Rebacca) Then CH want to see so I lent him, then Darryl tell LR. Then he said "Hi Re-bah-kah" Then I pretend wanna whack him. He still say twice ah! So I pretend wanna whack him twice, haha.
There's extra chocs so LR went round playing scissors paper stone with people. He kept winning everyone! Until my cool senior Cheng Heng came along and gave him his first lose! Haha, then some people (including me & Dar) clap for him, haha. CHENG HENG YOU ROCK! So he got an M&M from LR, woohoo! And he give to me (awww....). He said "Give you" then throw to me. Then I said "I don't want, give you (Dar)" (CH back at his seat alr) Then I throw that time it landed on his pants. CH say "Orh, dirty already!..." Haha, then Darryl throw to CH I think then throw around until reached Chen Hua and he kept it, I think, haha! Sorry Darryl. Then LR ask for one representative from each section. Haiyo, he threw at Darryl and drop on the floor leh, tsk tsk. He ask whether I want, I don't want so he give CH. Forgot what he did with it. (I think he told Dar to give me, either this one or the scissors paper stone one, think this one) Then LR ask for one more person and said if this person wins he gets 4. Actually Chen Hua went and want to arm wrestle but he got a lot of choc alr, so Cheng Heng went. They played 3 rounds. First round to CH, scissors to paper. 2nd round to LR scissors to paper too. Even. 3rd round to.... CHENG HENG! PAPER TO STONE! :D So he got 4 M&M haha, 2 yellow 2 brown. He gave me and Dar one each :D

Someone told us that Guzheng went down alr, so he went through last round of both songs and went down. I was sure that I could play part G (MBS) without dropping an octave because earlier I could do it every time and still play part H (high). Bright lights, but it's ok, I have Trombone to block it. Higher than 90 deg eh! Monmouth first. Think mess up a bit. MBS mess up a lot! CH put down trb when he still had one bar to play after a one bar rest. They both put down but I didn't, and I didn't stand in for him oops, they lift up too late and missed the first bar or part of it when they come in. Argh! Drop one octave because my mouth too tired to pitch alr, and part H high notes failed. Why does this always happen. Practice so nice, performance not nice. After that go back and keep instrument. When I came out got someone's bag on my chair, very unfamiliar never see before. In the end, Dar's -.- So rich, every time got new bag one. I jealous leh, nice then buy, not nice then don't buy, woah seh! Haha, just joking. But seriously I think he's richer than me. Went back for stands and percussion inst after the last item (CO) ended. CH ask Dar to help him take stand, he don't want, then CH ask me take cos he wanna help take percussion inst. LOL 'bully me' but it's ok :D Back upstairs, 3 cheers then bye!

Yesterday was SYF Rehearsal! Share slot with Dunearn Military Band again, so we have 1 hour there. But before going to SCH, we had practice as usual. We reported to school at 8.30am and bring band uniform and shoes. I used Darryl's previous mouthpiece, since he chcnged trombone and not using that mouthpiece anymore. His mouthpiece coating's still there, my coating came off, when I got it it was already like that. I forgot whether it's Monday or Tuesday I changed. Darryl is sometimes very inappropriate-drinking coffee in the band room -.- Come to think of it, I think it's quite funny. Don't know why, maybe because everyone's busy doing stuff, like setting up things then he sit there sipping coffee, very funny la. Don't know if he rinsed his mouth, I hope so! Oh my gosh, Darryl and Cheng Heng both know how to play one part of Pecos Pueblo, Dunearn's choice piece! When did they learn it?? I come for every practice but I've never heard them play it, so cool right? My seniors la, haha. Anyway warm ups, then sectionals. Darryl asked Kevin if he has anything sharp that he doesn't want. He don't have. Then he ask me if I have any hairpin that I don't want. I was like NO! He wants to clear the water key -.- Haha, is it even possible? It started raining half way. We had sectionals from 9-10am. I asked Darryl if March 'Blue Sky' can play an octave lower, since trumpets are playing too, he say if I want. And I want. Because the notes so high, later the next part trombone-only (I think) part I cannot play. We went through all 3 songs. Sometimes I wish I wasn't junior, weird right? Of course I prefer to be junior. But if I was senior I can tell them to practise properly. Half way, Cheng Heng suddenly tell me "Rebecca jie guo, wo yao tiao jin qu (band room)" cos we just outside. He jump in so easily eh. He play guitar? Anyway, at 10am we combined. Cliff & Brayton conduct, take turns. When we play MBS it sounded so horrible la. Just cos Cliff tell tubas to play louder cos the woodwinds very loud, then they start blasting and everyone start blasting. Seriously, if it was SYF we get COP (Certificate Of Participation). If it was Founder's Day (which is supposed to be), the guest all go deaf -.- At 11am + I think, we got break. Go McDonald's eat then back to school to change. My shoes so loose, stuff socks still so loose. Then we go back and started tuning. But then girls go toilet to put ribbon on the hair, then I miss my tuning. I really stuff till v tight then shoes won't come out, but painful! I'm the last to get ribbon, and most troublesome too. My hair band is furry one, then Shu Yan lent me hers and help me tie and put ribbon. Thanks :) By the time I went back, my seniors tune alr, and I missed tuning -.-
At SCH, we were first this time, last time was Dunearn first. Actually we sat one seat spacing, then later Mr Yeo asked 'Darryl & Rebecca sit towards Cheng Heng' so now there's no one seat in between. There was one of his friends (don't know who) giving comments to help him decide where the sections sit to have a better sound. He said something (couldn't really hear) ".....if not the trombones will be like blablabla (the sound)." Nothing much, after an hour, we left. That's it.
Today, Founder's Day Rehearsal. Report to the hall first at 8.30am. Dar earlier than me. I wore the band uniform here, but school shoes, then I changed my shoes in the hall. We were briefed then we went upstairs. We brought our stands and files downstairs (so that when it's our turn to perform we just come in without them) then back up to practise and wait for our turn. We played A Monmouth Overture and March 'Blue Sky'. I think Dar forgot some parts in MBS, for CH I not sure. I remember everything, haha! Then we went downstairs and rehearsed. I think I'm cool because I hold my trombone up 90 degrees (or more)! :D Why ah, Dar, your positiong different from mine at the melody? Melody all got the same notes eh. After that while CO (the last item) was still performing, we went back into the hall behind to wait for debrief or something. They said we need a 2nd rehearsal, this time it'll be a fast one because the planning isn't very good. So we had break until 1.15pm from ...I forgot, I think about 12.40pm. I went to the Kopitiam at Tampines Mart then after lunch, went back to the hall the take my instrument. And then went upstairs to the band room. The store room door couldn't open, haha. Cheng Heng managed to open it, I go keep my wallet and hp. Darryl went off :( They said we should end about 2. But then we wait until 3.45pm or later then we got called down. And there's no one there, all waiting. No wonder so long, after one group perform it's not immediately the next group. Don't know waiting for what. Founder's Day itself will be one after another not like that! In between so much time -.- Then we just play MBS from part I (last part) then finish. And they ask us to take off the plastic from the chairs -.- CH and I was so pissed. And he started scolding (not me of course). Then finally we went back and dismissed. I should have left while waiting so long. Bye.

Band practice today! Actually it's Founder's Day rehearsal. I went upstairs very early. Xue Qi came later so only the 2 of us there and we did homework. Then the 4R1 people came. Cliff go climb through the window, haha. Then I said we (me & XQ) so hardworking then Darryl came and say wah so hardworking, haha! "I know, I just said that." Then later Cheng Heng climb out the window, I didn't even know he was here until then. Then later, Jaslyn open the other door (nearer to me & XQ) and suddenly "Hello." haha! At 3pm we went in. We went to the hall first and sat in concert order on the floor and did nothing. I didn't even know why we're there. I think to set up chairs but only needed some people. Cheng Heng go sit with other people, then left me and Dar. Then never talk one, so I go to Serene & CJ to see Serene's phone and get 2 songs from her. I found out she's Christian. Then Dar also go sit with other people. (I 'abandoned' him, haha).
Then go upstairs again and do warm up. Oops oops, Dar how can you be so careless :( Now you have to use the bass trombone with stuck water key, haha. I didn't con you 2 because you 2 know I'm using tenor -.- CH say CY say they bully me, haha. He's like "You tell her one right?" "She found out herself!" Haha. After warm up, we went downstairs to hall. We're not using the stage eh, we beside the stage to the left of it. Guzheng on the other side. Trombone and trumpet (4th row) stand up, yay! Cliff conduct, we play Overture No. 1 too. I thought Monmouth only. CH, you also, how can you be so careless? The instrument is precious! The Media Club take our pic eh! Right beside me :O haha. I think... today was... unlucky, but somewhat fun too. Bye! Band practice tomorrow! :D

Last Saturday Ms Leong said there'd be a CNY rehearsal today, so obviously the quintet has to go. But this morning, after assembly, Mr Lim (band teacher) asked all band members to see him. So I went to see him and Ms Ong. Ms Ong said other CCAs are having the whole CCA perform so it's not nice if we only have 5 people perform. And she said, almost every band member will get at least A2 at the end of secondary school because of all the concerts & performances we have. And she thinks it's not fair that only those 5 people get the CCA points and the rest don't, so she asked Mr Yeo and wanted to pick a song that's still fresh so she chose Sesame Street. Then like last year, the band played Incredibles then the 5 came out. So the band will play Sesame Street then the 5 people come out. When she said this my reaction was like "Aaahhh!" Then I kept shaking my head then she said "Rebecca, you shake your head, are you not sure about Sesame Street?" Then I shook my head again. Aaaahhh! Then went for lesson.
At 3pm I went upstairs because Ms Ong said she wants us to run through in the room before going to the hall for the rehearsal. After a while, we went in and set up instruments. I flipped to Sesame Street and shift my stand closer to Cheng Heng. Then he look in his file and said "Ah Sesame Street." I asked him "What you looking for?" He said "Sesame Street." I said "Here." "Oh ya hor only got one" Haha, cute. We did warm up with Chromatic Low Tones conducted by Germaine. I think she's going to be student conductor. Then we practised SS. After a few times, we went downstairs.
So boring there, 3.30pm is when the full rehearsal starts, not the one for band what. We could actually have stayed up there. Hours at the hall you know! I just play and play anything I want. A while later Darryl came.
Oh ya, there's one part at Overture No. 1 I blasted a bit then there's echo throughout the whole hall, yeah! :D Finally we gathered in concert order. Then we went by the back door to the stage. Before we started they go on the spotlight! Then they go fiddle with the stage lights. When we playing, the stage lights keep going on and off, tsk, stage light have to be one obviously, so people can see us and we can see our scores! After that, the 5 people came out. The band so nice, they clapped as we played and after we finished they clapped & cheered. Aawww... :) Then go back upstairs and dismissed. Bye bye.

Band practice today! First thing in the morning, marching. Again split into two groups, now I'm under Rebekah. CH didn't come! :( Our group didn't count, last time in LR's group we count. Then later we combine together. Then 9am went back to the room. Actually we went upstairs first, I set up my trombone and stand. Then we came down. When we went upstiars, LR asked us to go for sectionals, warm up during sectionals. But Ms Leong wanted to get 5 people for CNY quintet. Not whole band will be performing. It'll be like last year, 5 people (I remember CY playing) for Da Di Hui Chun. Two clarinets, a horn, a trumpet and a darling trombone. She asked if I'm the only trombone today, ya I am. Then she got Tian Hoe & Benedict (clarinet) Yihui (trumpet). She wanted Shazana but she don't want, so she got Brandon, at first don't want but Ms Leong got irritated so he took it. Trombone- me of course, if my kor kors were there, she'd definitely not get me.
So 5 of us took our stands and went to the music room on the other side of the store room. She passed us the scores and we started practising. Later LR came and said he gave the others break, so Ms Leong gave us break too. Went toilet only and after that I took pictures! :D Of our sectionals places. Then went back to music room and waited for the rest to come back. Break from 10.10am to 10.40am. The guys were late. After they came back, we continued. This time we stood because we'll be standing on the actual day in the hall. When we end, the note is fermata so we have to hold till Tian Hoe gives the que to stop. Ms Leong recorded us! Sounds like a duck. It wasn't perfect. But Ms Leong said me and Yihui were the most constant ones.
After a while, past 11am, we went out. When I went out I saw Darryl walking! I practised A Monmouth Overture. Then later he came. He didn't set up his trombone because it was already past 11.30am then. Problem at the semiquavers again :( 4 semiquavers at the 4th count of bar 21. We completed the whole song. Then we move on to "Monmouth". We doing half way (not even half actually) then Rebekah shout for horn and trombone to go in. So I put down my trombone and went. Darryl of course don't need to already so he used my trombone.
So I went in and waited so long. Finally my turn, XS size for skirt and blouse. Have to change in the store room, yucks. When I rushed out. Darryl left already :( I pressed the water key, so much saliva! Dismiss at 1pm-.- Apparently LR didn't want us to leave when the rest were trying uniforms. Why not? It's got nothing to do with us what. Bye.

Today there's PE, take height and weight. I'm only 156cm?!?! I expected at least 160cm by now! Later in the day there's Geography, chapter 2 population. Mdm Jamilah's slide show had 2 pictures taken during lower sec assembly last year! :O I saw Chen Hua, so I knew that Cheng Heng must be somewhere near there, then I saw Cheng Heng :D Lesson ended at 12.30pm, band practice starts at 2.30pm, so went to canteen to eat. I saw Darryl with Karl. I saw Samuel when I was in the bus to school yesterday :D After a few minutes went upstairs. I set up my trombone. Cliff said Mr Yeo's not coming because he's preparing for his wedding tomorrow. Then he told us to go for sectionals. Darryl went to the same place that Jezer used. I just set up my stand and Darryl's NCC friend came and asked "Your junior ah?" "Ya" Of course his junior right? I can't be his senior right?
We did warm ups. Then we did Overture No. 1 the starting. I have low notes. He said aim at that block. Last time Jezer said his senior make him and other juniors blast at that block because they always complaint when they have band BBQ. Then he ask me to hold the trombone higher. 90 degrees. I playing and he clapping the tempo then the wind blew and my whole stand dropped, haha. "Nature strikes back" Then I turned around and saw Cheng Heng walking down the steps.
Anyway, he do warm ups himself while Darryl continue teaching me. The wind blowing my file, Darryl ask Kevin for wallet (because I don't have) and he lent his wallet. Then the wind still blowing, blow his wallet also, then 50 cents drop out on the floor. Then the wind blew again and 5 cents dropped out this time. Then I said "Eh got $1 here eh!" on the stand, haha. Then he gave him back his wallet because it didn't help much. We went to a different place but still that area outside the classrooms, the bridge there. We used 3 areas there, but still the wind blew. Ask us to aim at that block.
Still windy, we changed to a third place there. CH said he's now 190cm! We hardly played before the wind came again. CH's scores went flying everywhere and they went running everywhere after it. The stands dropped too although their files are heavy. Then 2 scores flew past the wall, oops. And went downstairs, then CH ran down the stairs to the first floor to get it. Darryl found another place. We went inside where it's not open space, but same level, 4th. Finally we could practice! I asked "Today's Tuesday right?" He said "Friday! Tuesday! You 3 days back in time ah?" "Sorry la!" Because Tuesday also has practice what. Practise a while then went back already. Taufiq was there.
People were late, they settled at 4.40pm and got lecturing by him. There was no break. Darryl went to tell him about leaving early. Then we play Overture No. 1. Darryl left at 5pm. Then he wanted us to play the ending part. So we're playing again and again. I so nice waved bye to him haha! Then we do A Monmouth Overture. When I empty saliva, CH looking at me and he started laughing. I went "What?" He say my saliva went outside the bowl. "I cannot see what!" I really want longer hands faster! At the bottom of 1st page there's a few bars with the notes smaller than the others. Then he's like "What's all this?" I also don't know, haha. We kept our instruments and took our bags. Ms Ong talked to us. She said we just accepted a performance at Orchard Road. :O Cool! I read from Rebekah's blog, there's marching tomorrow :D

Yesterday I asked Darryl (by sms) what time today's Sec 1 Orientation is. He said 'They nvr say." So I asked Cheng Heng, he told me it's 230 so I thanked him :) Lessons ended at 1.30pm. I went to the canteen with Xue Qi for lunch. Met Mavis by chance and she said Rebekah said it's immediately after lesson but I believed Cheng Heng, so I ate first. Jaslyn joined us later. We reached the room at 2+, very few were there. I heard the Sec 3s & 4s have lesson until 2.30pm. Today we face the door so that there's space in front of us for the Sec 1s. So cramp!! My section no space la! Last row got 3 trombonists, 4 tubas and I think 5 trumpets -.- What's more trombone right to the left beside the whiteboard.
Ms Leong was here, Mr Yeo wasn't. She asked if we're comfortable with Kokomo, then someone said no. Then she said if no then we won't play it -.- Tsk, who the heck was that?! Before Cheng Heng and Darryl came, one batch of Sec 1s (don't know how many classes) came and Rebekah introduced every section. Some people play a note, some just show the instrument. I just stood up, held the trombone high, then sat down again without a word, haha. Someone laughed and said one only. What one only, got short term memory is it? The rest not here yet cannot ah? Even if only got one so what? Got problem is it? Oboe also only got one what, nothing wrong with that right? We played Sesame Street. Serene hadn't come yet so there's no one blocking me and the Sec 1s were standing so they can see me. We played Sesame Street only, no Kokomo because of that selfish idiot. When I played my melody at 'Peanut Butter' those near me looked at me! Because that part I played louder :D I played a few wrong notes, but the first time was the most perfect one. Then Darryl and Cheng Heng came. Very cramp.
Today I'm not so lonely, yay! :D Darryl talk to me a lot, and Cheng Heng a bit also, better than yesterday. Must talk to Cheng Heng more also, as much as Darryl, although it's not as much as when they argue. Eh? Now they're not arguing anymore! I think we played 7 times altogether, because I remember taking turns to introduce 7 times. I remember the second time we introduced trombone, Darryl say want to do 'this one' together. It's the trail. It's the one where we pull the slide without tonguing. Then when he finished, he sat down and just started without counting. Then somehow Cheng Heng managed to play together but I didn't. I was late, so it's not together. Then later I say he never count. Cheng Heng said "Ya lor you never count! You just start then we (looks surprised and hold up the trombone)" Haha, it's not that exaggerated. Third time he sat down after talking then Rebekah move on to percussion -.- Then someone told her then she "Wait wait, trombone wants to play something!"
I think it's around this time one batch very noisy. Then Darryl got so irritated he said "Are we here to perform or to watch them talk?" Ya it's irritating and probably tiring for Rebekah. 4th time Cheng Heng introduced. He held up the trombone just like me, high up :D He said the trombone is special because it uses a slide and you must have long hands to play it, haha. Then 5th time he left out the long hands then Rebekah said it. 6th time it's me I said "This is the trombone. It's unique because it has a slide so you have to have long hands to play it" Then I trail down and up, still standing. Don't know why Darryl always sit down first then trail.
Oh ya, we talked about Chinese name, our siblings, and... other things. Then I ask how to write Darryl's Chinese name, he said he don't want to show me -.- But in the end, me & CH figured it out, haha. And we talked about Cai Yan, her hyper behaviour. Then about CL teacher, Mr Liu -.- He' still teaching me, and Darryl's class HMT. I forgot how that got into topic. I told Darryl he teaches his class HMT also. Then he said he doesn't take higher mother tongue. I said I know, obviously. Then CH "Obviously la!" He's in 3R3 :) Oh ya, our section play CO songs. Darryl trying to play Matsuri then I asked if he can play Ju Hua Tai.
He talk half way got saliva on my hand. "You spit on me!" CH "Bad senior!" then later CH talk got saliva on Darryl. "You spit on me!" Hahaha! Yesterday also Mr Yeo asked the whole band to play the beginning of Kokomo (our melody). CH "Yes! Beginning! Beginning!..." Then Darryl wipe his face. "Sorry sorry!" Haha! Back to today. I asked why his bell always drip water. He said got meh? I said look at your pants. Then got a drop of water there, "Eh?... Condensation, condensation." HAHA! There was some dust or small insect drifting in front of Darryl. Then Darryl point at it while it drifted. "Aiya, it's just a.... don't know what thing only!" "Spider..." -.- ? Oh ya, me & Darryl were talking about the bowl spilling that time then I said I want to take the bowl and splash it in his (the one who spilled it) face. Then he said so evil then I said his senior bully me eh! Then I told him about telling her he spilled it. Then he asked "Then she said it's ours right?" I said "No, she just say then you clean la" Then Darryl say it's her own junior spill then she don't want to clean... He seemed quite irritated, he was from their section before so I didn't expect him to be so irritated... But anyway, that means he cares right? :)
CH kept laughing at me today. He say I watch Sesame Street. Then also once I asked Darryl if he's cold, he said no. I was so cold! Then later I said I'm shaking already. Then CH I think twice saw me shaking and said "Shaking... hahaha..." Then the third time I look up and saw him looking at me then he turn away and never laugh, haha! Then Ms Ong came with the CD of the Genting competition. We watched only ours and I saw trombone. Darryl emptying saliva during the long rests and the camera showed him, haha! I remember that part when we were playing. Then they were like "Darryl emptying saliva!" "Anything wrong with that?! Anything wrong with that?!" Just after the video ended, another batch came. Just nice, haha. Darryl introduced. Finished at almost 7! Bye bye.

Band practice yesterday! :D It was already 8am but both Darryl & Cheng Heng not here, so Cliff asked me to call them. I call Darryl, never answer. I call Cheng Heng, never answer. In the end, Cheng Heng came but Darryl didn't :( Warm up with Total Training until 8.30am. Then sectionals until 9am, 30min. Cheng Heng teach me Overture No. 1. Our parts are very different! There's one part, my notes are at the bottom of the staff lines, his notes are at the top of the staff lines, he's like "Why your part so low?" Haha. Oiled my slide! :D We learnt the first page today! :D Yay! 9am already, he told me to just wait for them to call us back in, but I continue practising and try the second page too. Then Shimei came and call us back in because Ms Leong came. We went back in and played Overture No. 1. I'm not that bad at it now :D Then at 10.30am we had 30min break until 11am.
I asked Chong Jin for all the Overture No. 2 scores. Oh yes, before break when we're playing Overture No. 1, Ms Leong said she hears trombones playing some notes so loud suddenly. That means it's like "Da...da...da...BAA!!!" Hahaha! I asked Serene and she said she could hear me doing that. After Overture No. 1 we tried A Monmouth Overture, not easy. Then Sesame Street, supposed to be easy. But isn't it too childish to attract Sec 1s? Anyway, I didn't really know the order. There's a lot of repeat signs. Then Cheng Heng explain already I still don't know. "This part first time we play then second we rest. Then this part we rest rest rest rest rest until here "play both times" then we play, then second time then we play. Then this part..." ??? He was getting faster and faster, even he finds it funny.
After band practice, they said there's Band BBQ on 30 Dec, each person must pay $8 -.- Then went home. I went to Suky's concert. I met Mabeline at Hougang MRT station then we went to Dhoby Ghaut station and then Raffles Place station to meet the others there. The others met at 5pm at Tampines station. Then from there, we walked to Victoria Concert Hall. The band is Philharmonic Youth Winds. At 8+ there was a 20min intermission. After a while, Suky came and I gave her the present that Liang Rong bought before we went there. It's a bear in a bouquet. You know, a bouquet of flowers? Just that in the wrapping is a white bear instead of flowers. Then she was like, so happy, haha! :D After the intermission, the band continued playing until 9+ when the concert ended. The people started shouting encore and they were prepared for an encore. Some off them took out Christmas hats and they played a combination of Christmas songs. The concert was nice I think. It's a big band too. Reached home at 11+, tired already. Bye!

Last day in Genting. After breakfast, take all our stuff and gather at the grand foyer. Taking attendance-asking every section if all the members were here. Cliff called Trombone and looked at me. I thought Darryl was there because I saw him just now, so I nodded, and was wondering why Darryl didn't answer. But later I saw him come and he sat behind -.o So actually he wasn't here... Actually I'm sitting with Xue Qi, Jaslyn & Xuan Lin are behind us, Darryl & James are behind them. But later changed, I go behind and sit with Jaslyn. Me & Jaslyn went toilet, then when we came out, I stopped at the entrance because I wanted to take a picture of the band. Then this cleaner lady came in with a vacuum cleaner and it was about to run over Jaslyn's feet then she screamed. Hahaha! It's Jaslyn who's gonna be hurt but instead of her screaming, it's the cleaner screaming, hahaha! Jaslyn just stepped over it. I didn't get a picture. But actually I did get one not of the band, of the place, I think it was before that. Jaslyn came up with an idea. I got a picture of someone in the end. Don't know whether it's obvious because my camera was facing away a bit. Anyway, I got the picture :D Thanks to her idea :D I'm not going to put it here, not safe. But I will put the picture I took of the place :D Look!
Actually many schools were there, but no one walked past here when I took the picture. Pasir Ris Sec sat beside us and the silver eupho player was beside me. Not directly beside I mean, there's space between the schools. Maybe Darryl saw her too. Haha, she talked to him a bit during the workshop on Wednesday. You know, my room has 2 windows. One's facing outside. Outside my room also has a window. I went to another end of the corridor with another window and saw the theme park! So I took 2 pictures of it. I put my phone outside the window :O Haha, look!

The bus came at about 9am. We put our instruments and luggages on the bus then got up. Me & Jaslyn were a bit late, there was only one place left I think, so we had to sit in front of Darryl & James. Haha! We stopped at Yong Peng for lunch again. This time no sharing. I was fine on the bus because I wasn't hungry :D When we reached school, we brought our instruments upstairs to the store room. Then I went back down and waited for my father. Go home take bus again -.- Another long bus ride. When I reached home, I went to my grandmother's house first. Ate dinner there then went home. I took pictures of some things. Look! :D
