♫♪I'm a happy 2nd Trombone!!♪♫

Hello! On Thursday I had to stay back in school for the band exco interview. It was supposed to be in the conference room 1 but they changed it to the staff lounge. Let's see, there was Mr Yeo, Ms Chen, Ms Ong and Rebekah. I thought Ms Ong went to CO already but I think she's standing in for Mdm Yanti. But there are also Mrs Tan and Ms Deepa in charge of band... Anyway, Ms Chen asked what class I'm from :O I said 3R1 then she thought for a while and recognised me, haha. Quite surprised, she teaches me... Ms Ong still remembers my Sec 1 incident. Last year she asked, this year also. The hardest question was from... Rebekah. Mr Yeo didn't talk much, seems like he asked less this year. My answer to the question all interviewees are asked remains unchanged. I hope I get in this year.

Friday there was band practice. What's to say? Nothing, except, wow Kevin didn't use his file or stand the entire practice! And wow I can play high high G more! And I didn't talk to Kevin, except "Your solo got slur" "I know" and I wanted to ask him something but he didn't answer, probably didn't hear. I taught Benjamin how to come in 3 bars after G because DC told me Benjamin doesn't know. I washed my mouthpiece before we went back into the room and keep instruments even though I didn't know we were going to keep without combining.

Today band practice. More Sec 1s came, I heard from Mavis they're supposed to come. They march separately from us, but later joined and don't know how to align themselves when they only take up one row between us. -.-? Quite surprised by this: with the Sec 1s between us we had march on the spot for quite long, but Xue Qi and I were still aligned at the end :O Went up to the band room. OMG I was freaking shock at the way my guy junior hold the trombone and put on the floor. OMG... When they finish practice I saw him at the store room still holding wrongly even though I taught him alr, then I show Kevin his reaction same as mine. Mr Yeo took Sec 1s, Mr Yu took us. We did Great Band workout the parts we haven't done for a long time. Haha, Kevin forgot B flat major in thirds. Then we went to tune. Same thing la, I tune until Kevin then he help me tune (but almost forgot!) then I continue with others. Tuning tubas I saw Jezer! :O Then went back in and saw a bottle of trombone oil in a spray. And Kevin was missing! :O Just joking, he came out the store room. Said Jezer jumped through the window and Suky came by music room and Jonathan's coming, but didn't see him. And the oil was found in QM cupboard, a whole box! :D Lots of trombone things in the QM cupboard. Practised Procession To Peace. Until about 11 then played Symphonium. Solo's sounding good, but not all hit yet. This morning Serene told me what Kevin said. I verified, wah... so it's true...

After keeping trombone Kevin was alr asking Mr Yu and Yeo about the oil. I joined in and gave the list of people buying mouthpiece. Wah, woodwinds no business, I got 8 :D Majority from MY section! ^_^ We're playing our 2 songs for Founder's Day. Reaction from Kevin & me :O ! Mr Yeo said next week there's mock audition. "For what?" To see if we can play or whether we always slack and hide behind others during combined. Chen Hua asked "Mock followed by real?" Yes. Woah... :'( Bye bye!

Band practice today, but we missed 1.5 hours of it because we had additional Additional Maths lesson from 3-4pm. When we went up the Sec 1s were still there in the band room and Mr Yeo was teaching them. Main Band was outside having sectionals and Mr Yu was walking around. I took my bottle and trombone out but I didn't want to go in and walk past them again so I asked Zi Yuan who was inside to take file and stand for me. I heard my juniors talking about Maths when they were slacking. -.- Eh Ding Cong, don't need to teach Benjamin a^2-b^2, he's gonna learn it in time to come. (a+b)(a-b). Benjamin said sectionals on Symphonium so I practised Symphonium. Heheh Kevin also had A Maths from 3-4pm today, but he came very late, but at least together with his classmates not later. When he came and wash mouthpiece, go tune and combine alr. Tuning took a long time, many people's sound not constant and out of tune today. Combined on the 2 pieces. I have to compile a list of names of those who are buying mouthpieces from brass sections by Saturday. So far, I'm who only one who's confirmed, thought my juniors confirmed alr -.- Bye!

I just remembered I have to blog something because in class I said this something has to go on my blog. First period in the morning, English. Ms Deepa was teaching on summary. She wrote "Jack and Jill went up the hill." Then she erased the "Jack and Jill" part, but put it back. Then as she said "Jill" she wrote "Jick". ...No one seemed to notice, haha! We have to use our own words when we summarise so she wrote "Jack and Jill climed up the mountain." HAHA! Then later she wrote "Twinkle twinkle little star" and rewrite it as "Little stars are twinkling" HAHAHA! When I saw that I was like HAHAHAHAHA! She herself said it's all rubbish. Since I rarely blog about class, I shall tell you a bit more about today...

Before first lesson today was English reading period. The Discovery Channel magazine was on my lap but I was reading 词语手册. Brandon beside me was also reading something else. Then the teacher came and said "What are you reading?" and I opened the magazine to cover the 手册 and surprisingly she didn't notice me. She only confiscated Brandon's book... After English was recess, which I spent studying 第四课和第五课的词语。今天有测验，第四和第五课，可是我不小心学了第六课的词语因为老师刚刚教第六课 -.- 在巴士上我还在读第六课。。。我在 assembly 时候看见旁边 3R2 的人在读词语手册第四或第五课词语才记得今天测验4，5 而不是6。... -.- After recess was Bio, but we did Bio SPA instead. No time to finish everything! Argh! And made all the mistakes anyone could make -.- Then Social Studies. Then Chinese. 孙老师 was nice enough to give us until 1pm to do last minute revision (which helped a lot) because the test is 30min. If it was 刘老师 last year, he'd probably just give 5min and start the test. Then conduct lesson after the test. I think 孙老师很善良(does that include lenient?)，因为每一课 3R1 都那么吵，她却没有骂。交功课时也有人没有交。我实在讨厌 3R1 Chinese class 的态度。如果我是老师我一定骂的啦。After that was assembly, Chinese opera on Going West (西游记). Nice... Then after that stay back in class with class to finish the Bio. By the time I wanted to go eat, the canteen was closing already, some stalls still open but look like they're closing so I didn't eat. Bumped into CY while walking out the canteen. I think he went to eat, but 5min later saw him walk out the school :O Today was not interesting, as usual. Bye bye.

Oh yes! Got back my Bio test paper today. Yay! Finally something I'm satisfied with. The best of the 3 Sciences, but actually the one I dislike most...

Band practice today. Marching first. Some Sec 1s came. It's senseless that the band cannot march in tempo. Their tempo can change so obviously, what's their problem?! When we went up to the room Mr Yeo was already there. I got some feeling when I saw him, I think it was happy, because when he's not here they slack. Mr Yu came very soon. After setting up my stuff Mr Yeo asked me to set up any trombone (for Sec 1) so I wanted to set up T3. But I set up T2. OMG... I don't know what he did, but he kept it after he was done. So the whole day Mr Yu was taking us in Symphonium and warm up. We did Great Band Workout, finally after so long. But when came to Harmony for Brass/Wind we were out of tune so we went outside to tune. Kevin tuned for me and took my trombone in for me :) I took longer than the woodwinds to finish tuning, haha. We went back to finish the Harmony. Then Symphonium. Oh... water key injury :O But because of that injury I saw a side of Kevin I rarely get to see, he was showing concern... :)

I thought Suky's not coming, but 10.50am Taufiq point behind. I was: ? ... Suky or what? .... Oh yay it's her! Haha. When she take a chair and they shift to make space for her very funny, cos Kevin say she come then got so much noise, hahaha...! So she sat between my juniors. YAY Mr Yu said there is some improvement from the soloist :D :D He played the last high high G ^_^ Both times. We ended at 11.30am and I asked for permission to leave after keeping my stuff, for that stupid dental appointment. Ya so I left first. Bye!

Yay! On the 27th day my Trombone baby is back! :D When I saw it in the room, I screamed and squealed in delight! "My Trombone is back!!! :D After 27 days it's back!!!"

Xue Qi was like "Shhh..." haha, but why should I? I love my baby Trombone! I'm so elated it's finally back to my side now, yeah! Trombone forever! Sec 4s had their weekly test. And DC was late as expected. So during warm ups there was only me and Benjamin. Sectionals shouldn't be put on Friday, there's too much slacking. It should be put back to Saturday like before. Last time when sectionals was on Saturday, sometimes a conductor would come. But now it's on Friday, neither of the conductors ever come, ever since it was changed to Friday. For the whole day there was no combined practice. Even after coming late, that guy still go slack. But, I don't care anymore. And I don't care that I don't care. And surprisingly, Darryl came today! :O And at 3+ too, which is even more surprising. And he came in his TJC half uniform. Cliff came too. I didn't check what time Kevin came. When he came I said his trombone is repaired and he seemed happy too. "Really?" and he picked up speed, haha :) Oh ya, we practised with Jaslyn today, because now her other junior quit too, and her senior's obviously not here. Just for today only, promise. I practised the 2 songs, Procession to Peace and Symphonium (and a few others). I hate it on Friday practices now, for obvious reasons. Ok, sorry, I slacked today. Because I practised with Jaslyn, that's why I said it'll be today only. SORRY... NOT to my section! Why should I apologise to slackers? The sorry is for other people, like Suky... And sorry Trombone.

Since my trombone is back, I put it in my cupboard, and gave the bass trombone 171035 to Kevin to keep in his cupboard, where it was before I took it. 这段时间，真的非常谢谢你。Thanks for filling up the empty spaces and making me complete and making me happy :) In my life, I will always love 3 trombones. I'm already feeling sad that I won't be using 171035 now, yet I am happy that I am using 153671. I am missing T T3 that I have not seen or used since so long ago that I don't even remember :( I think I last saw it last year when Darryl's trombone was away before SYF and he used T3. How are you T3? :') I am Trombonist... Trombone is my life. It's the most meaningful thing in my life, if I don't play trombone, I don't see what else I can do, because there's nothing else I want to do. Trombonist loves Trombone!

新年快乐！I found out something very interesting from Benjamin. Apparently, we have 2 juniors. And, that day Zi Yuan said only 2 Sec 1s got allocated, and not to my section. That's not true. And Andrew said DC used my trombone to let Sec 1s try, which is also nonsense. They used T2 and T4, their old trombones :) I hope they're ok. And my juniors are one girl and one boy, yay! I am bored, CNY is the most boring festival of all for me. Bye bye.

Haiya... I have been sick since yesterday. Got fever, sore throat, cough... So I missed my A Maths re-test and Bio test yesterday and my Chem test today. Now I have to take 2 re-test and a re-re-test -.- And I'm missing band today! Now is 4 something, band's going on now. The Sec 1s come today. I think they're showing them the individual instruments-play some short music. I wonder who's playing... Or maybe they're only doing the tests today, like when I was Sec 1 we had to tell if a note is higher or lower than the 1st one. What are they doing now?! It starts at 2.30pm, Kevin will come late cos got lesson. Are they trying instruments today?! OMG if they are, is my Trombone ok? Which trombone did they take for the Sec 1s to try? :O OMG 我不放心 I'll go SMS them now. Bye!

Friday's practice was sucky. Like last Friday again no conductors because it's sectionals. Then Ding Cong came late when he had 1 hour for lunch after his Higher Chinese. -.- The sectionals was damn slack, my entire section slacking. DC esp pissed me off, Kevin also slack a lot. Benjamin slack less, and the one who slack least is me la. Did I even slack. I think at 4+ we went inside to combine. Then before we started Rebekah told us to get out to tune. Chien Wai stole my job first. Then Rebekah told him to gimme the tuner, then Taufiq tune his 2 juniors and I tune the rest of the brasses. Oh yes, I forgot to mention I'm now the brasses' tuning IC (tuner).

Today, Suky came! :D (She likes reading this part, so here it is! Haha) So early, she came soon after we started marching, which is 8+. Last Saturday she came at about 9.30am (and say I didn't post that day, don't have "Suky came!" haha) Haha! We put leaves under our arms to make sure we lock our arms, like when I was in Sec 1. Hansel and Taufiq also came. We finished at almost 9am and went for combine practice. Suky brought her silver princess (it's her trombone)! From inside the store room can hear her blasting, haha :D Ding Cong didn't come today (again like last Saturday) and Mr Yu didn't come, only Mr Yeo. He said he was sick last Saturday, this week absent again. Do you think I believe he was sick? When slackers say they're sick no one will believe. Not like I wanna hate my junior you know, I don't want! I also want to be as nice to them as my seniors la, but like that how to? :( We played Procession to Peace first then Symphonium. Jonathan (my alumni) came today, but he stayed outside, because he hasn't played trombone for about 8-9 years and he dare not come in and play with us, according to Suky, haha. We recorded both songs and when we listened to the recordings I can hear Suky playing all the time :) Then at Symphonium her sfp crescendo very good, but too strong for this small band. Then Mr Yeo say when we listen also we had the reaction, like "Wah 原来那么难听" then Suky got very angry. She said it was supposed to be like that, and her trombone doesn't deserve the insult, which I agree. But wow, it's really outstanding since our band is small. Suky I think you'll read this, right? Don't be angry la, it's because your playing was too good for our band's standard. Then Mr Yeo not happy that we sound so lousy compared to you or something, I don't know. But actually it was 那么好听, honestly :) Don't be angry anymore, I saw you angry for the first time a bit... uneasy, haha, because you always super hyper :)

We did our punishment of 32 squats then dismissed. At least that's better than running or push ups. Not very tiring also, just a bit. Luckily... Waved bye to Suky and Jonathan (who were still outside after dismissal) and went to buy bubble tea with Jaslyn. Bye!

Band practice yesterday was... not as boring as usual. Supposed to have Sec 1s but the conductors only knew about them today so they only came to register. So we had normal practice. Sectionals first. Mr Yu told us to buy our own mouthpiece, the Denis Wick 4AL one that's about $70. Kevin came at 3.30pm. Ding Cong wasn't late, we came at the same time. I reminded Kevin that's he's supposed to arrange the breathing for the section from bar 82 crotchets. But then he arranged me and DC breathe at the same time. So I discussed with him and yay! We arranged the section's breathing places. Mr Yu made Benjamin change mouthpiece with Kevin. So now Kevin's using that Suky-donated mouthpiece and Benjamin's using the gigantic size 1 one. Taught Ding Cong today. Hmm he's not very strong. He's not even as strong as me I think... Then we went in for combined on Symphonium. Wasn't so boring today like I said. Because we played more? No, because I was chatting with Kevin :D Hehe. About things unrelated to band :) Why is he... the only guy friend I have? :O I should have more, they are like girls, they're no different just that they're guys. Why am I even sexist?? Blame it on pri sch la. Anyway, back to practice, we did Symphonium the whole practice. Section members should be friends, makes you less bored if you can talk to them :)

Kevin is really sensible! He can think for his parents. I'm so... touched. I admire his sensibility and... filial peity :) I want to buy my own mouthpiece...
