Today there was no assembly period during the last period so we just stayed in class. We discussed class T shirt. It was decided to be purple and gold, yuck! I love gold, but with purple as the base?! Not just that, they want Adidas brand because they don't know where money comes from. Maybe rain drops look like coins or something... And, they want a hoodie too. So the t shirt is for this year which is left with 1 term and the hoodie's for next year in which we'll still be together as 4R1. Why would I want a 7th jacket?... I counted 6 in my cupboard that I can wear. Not all are really jackets, some are thin, just for show, but I still consider it jacket. If I had less jackets, it would be a good idea because next year we'll be in air-con classroom :) But I don't -.- Anyway, if I get the shirt, I'm thinking of putting "诗瑩" or "Trombonist" behind :) Oh yes, there's something ridiculous about this class. They thought of putting "PCB" on the shirt, and they say it's Physics, Chemistry, Biology, but it's obviously a vulgarity which I don't know and don't want to know. Then they thought of PBC and they realised it's Pong Biau Choon (Mrs Pong) haha! -.- A lot of guys actually voted for the PCB shirt. Eh does CY even know what it means?! If they'd really chosen that, I wouldn't buy it.
Something funny happened in the bus with Sarah and Appu. We were talking about our class t shirt and the class motto: W3R1 (We Are 1) then I noticed that the person standing in front of us in purple shirt had "We are one" at the back, haha! And I also noticed some gold colour words, so coincidental, hahaha!
Concert Band is performing in Music In The City at Ngee Ann City on Thursday! But is anyone even going? -.- It's on a weekday! Last year it was also on a weekday, why are they so nonsensical?... It's illogical too, our seniors (be it Sec 4 or alumni) cannot go... Support my Band if you can :)
Band again today, no marching though -.- Mr Yeo came first and we warmed up with Dion conducting. Then we tuned, which we haven't done in a long time. Then Mr Yeo came back in and did B flat major scale. Then we played Bao Bei Dui Bu Qi! :D Nice nice :D Trombone has melodies of all kinds :D The starting part, the chorus part, the leading to chorus part too, haha! And I think from bar 5 it sounds very retro, haha. Mr Yeo's arrangement is nice :) Our accompaniment part was not in the original song, I think he wrote it himself. We played that and other songs for a while then split for brass & woodwinds sectionals. Mr Yu did Mamma Mia with us until Mr Yeo came in and told us to cut part of Tequila. Cut the part from H to K, and no repeat :( So sad, to me that's the nicest part... got a cool lower brass part there and a glissando! But that part got some tough percussion part... But actually the tough part is not so long, I don't know why he cut so much off... It's already a very short song, now it's even shorter... I think it's now only 3 minutes. So after that Mr Yu decided to do Tequila. After that Bao Bei Dui Bu Qi. I want to blast!!! But some times too tired to play so loud, but when I can I will :D I blast Mamma Mia & Bao Bei Dui Bu Qi, haha :D But I don't anyhow blast of course. I blast as legato as I can, like Mr Yu said (the legato not the blast). Actually, it's not blasting, it's just louder than usual since I put braces. I think before I put braces I also play this loud, that's why Mr Yeo always tell me to go softer, haha. And further back into time, I used to play very soft, haha! I hope everything reverts when the braces are out, and I can play as loud as I want and as much as I want :)
We had 5min break then whole band combine on those 3 songs and Rockin to the Rhymes. At 11.30 Jonathan sms me to ask if band practice ended already and how to go upstairs because the shutters were closed -.- Haha, there was only 1 open... -.- and must walk round wasting time. But when we kept instruments, I saw the bass trombone case out, definitely it's him. Then I hear trombone sounds in the music room. Open the door see him alone with the bass trombone, emo-ing, haha. Came so late... he said he just started playing then must keep already. Also I asked Mr Yu about the mouthpiece we paid but haven't got. So Mr Yeo said maybe he could one day bring us there with our instruments then we try the mouthpiece and if it's ok we can get it. Because until now they still don't have so many of that mouthpiece. But actually not that many, 3 trombones, 1 eupho... -.- And, when I saw both Benjamin & Jonathan in the store room keeping trombones, I realise they look alike! :O
When I left school, saw Jonathan & Geck Woon. At first I thought it was Suky, but that's impossible, she's in HK. Then I thought he got girlfriend already, which is not possible yet, not so fast, haha. Until Taufiq said "Is that Geck Woon?" haha. She getting married! :O Around the time of my parents' anniversary, haha. That's all, bye.

Today after school I ate at the canteen. I saw Kevin! :) He couldn't find a place and in the end sat at the other end of the table from me when it became vacant. Then when I finished eating, I go there and say "Kevin! See me never say hi!" Then he say "You sit so far! And just now never see you also..." Haha, I think he bluff. Anyway, he said bye to me later :) Shortly after he and his friends left, I also left to look for teacher to get keys. Ms Deepa passed me T T2! :O So it was with Kee Poh...! Haiz... anyway, it's back now :) Anyway, the door was already unlocked when I went up -.- Grrr... that's damn pissing off.
Anyway, today's sectionals was delayed a lot. Because when I went to unlock the 2 special rooms for sectionals, the door leading to that corridor with the rooms seemed locked. Then also, chairs were missing from our band room so we couldn't start warm ups together. Hazirah contacted teachers and a lot of trouble. Ms Chen said she'd look for the school attendant to unlock the door. Plans were made to use the 3I1 and 3R7 classrooms but they were locked... A lot of waiting and trouble, then, they said that door... was unlocked...
And we managed to get chairs from somewhere, so we started to warm up with Wai Yee conducting... Dion didn't come for band. After a very short warm up we went to sectionals, which I didn't practice with them at all. I played with eupho sometimes... I practiced Mamma Mia, Tequila, Celebration & Song, Rockin to the Rhymes and at the end, a few bars of Procession To Peace. And I figured out how to play the chorus of Jay's 稻香 :) So nothing much today, bye bye.
Yesterday Tuesday band practice! :) I had Physics SPA so went to band at 4pm... Woodwinds except bass clarinet were practising in store room with Mr Yeo -.o Set up our stuff with much difficulty, haha. Mr Yu was doing Mamma Mia and Rockin to the Rhymes with brasses. I don't like how my section is separated with a drum set between us -.- Anyway, shortly after that the woodwinds came back and we combined as a band :) Mr Yeo said we'll be playing 宝贝对不起! :D So that's the 草蜢 (cao meng) song he said we'll be playing last Friday. I knew it! :D I like that song :) We played Rockin to the Rhymes, Mamma Mia & sight read Celebration and Song. Our repertoire changed. We're now playing, Rockin..., Mamma Mia, Tequila, Procession to Peace and Bao Bei Dui Bu Qi :) No more Nobody, to hard. (or rather it's us) The performance is next Thursday! :O So I can't say much, because I only there from 4pm onwards :( Ok so I took attendance, and bye bye!
Hello! Time I update on my E Math clinometer project. So on Monday, the big revelation. During recess I show Cui Yi the clinometer and asked if he knows what that is, *shakes head*. That means our clinometer really doesn't look like anything, haha, cos I expected him to know... Well, given the weight we use, not surprising if he doesn't know :S haha! That's not the only thing, when I teach him how to use, he asked me how to look through. So it seems ridiculous, but it's a straw...haha! (this is not so bad because in the online video they use straw). When I was explaining how to use I already drawn a diagram before that for him. So I said measure the distance from the building. Then look through the clinometer to the base of the building. 怎么看？这样啊？(Looks into the straw) "Ya." "Huh? 真的啊？" Hahaha!... Then I told him the next steps... look through to the top and measure angle. Use tangent formula to find the height. I talk quite fast, and I dare not speak Chinese. Don't know if he understand when I talk so fast... Cos very funny and I very nervous so talk faster, haha. Then the last part, I say don't look too high because the weight will bang your face, haha!So it's set for Wednesday. Today we saw the class photo... Both very nice :) I look fine in both, haha! The fun shot looks very fun too but a bit yucks what some of them do, haha. So I decided to buy both! The formal shot will be in year book too but if I buy 'solo' piece can get classmates' signatures :) More meaningful. Hopefully I can get the signatures in the same order as them in the photo :) I love 3R1 :)
Tuesday I sms him to remind him to bring the clinometer and measuring tape. He actually replied! :O The funny thing is he replied the same thing as on Friday, and both in 45min after I sms, haha. ???
Today is the big day! It's Wednesday! The day we do measurements for clinometer project! But first things first. In the morning, I was sitting at the back during assembly. I was called to the front, then a Chinese teacher told me that for the Chinese essay writing competition, they will be presenting award so I have to go in front. I was wondering, what competition? Haha! It's the one we did in Chinese class, 寻找____. I wrote 寻找幸福 but my standard's not that good! We got it back few days ago, and my mark wasn't that great, so I was quite surprised... Xinyi (HCL) and Zi Yuan (also CL) were there too, haha. The principal gave the prize, and I realised there was Merit, 3rd, 2nd & 1st. I got Merit, duh, so did Zi Yuan. Xue Qi got 3rd for HCL category. There was Lower Sec (1 & 2) and Upper sec (Sec 3 only) and split into HCL and CL, if not the people will all be from HCL right? A lot of them were China people, haha. It's a Popular voucher $5 :) After that we stayed back to take a photo with principal and ZY run away, haha.
Today before we went for lunch before Bio, Isabel & I asked the guys if they could do it during lunch instead of after SPA. Then CY say what 明天做可以吗？今天没有太阳. ??? Then JH say he's hungry, wanna eat... Then CY speak Chinese, Isabel speak English, then JH was like "1 speak Chinese, 1 speak English, I listen to what?" HAHA XD! So JH and Isabel argue argue, then I say we do after they eat, so settled we go down to canteen. After eating, Isabel & I went to look for them, Isabel first, because I not very... daring. So we got started! We measure the distance first. I seriously don't understand what they doing sometimes, HAHA! For eg, after measuring the first 3m, CY go sit on the step... then JH go count the no. of steps from there to the pillar ??? We measured from the pillar to somewhere we can see the top. 12.67m. Then ok, CY supposed to use the clinometer, but he is very very shy and there were people, and classmates, so in the end, I did it, haha. JH & CY run away... then JH still say very nice to see hor -.- Lol! After measuring the angles, done! It was so... how do you say... interesting and difficult. Esp the clinometer part, look too high, the weight bang face, haha. Then he don't want do, I do... Then go for bio... Yay! So relieved that it's done! :D I finished my part of the presentation, Isabel finishing the rest. The guys group... don't know, hope they can do... Due on Friday! :O Jia you! :D Bye!
Hi hi! Yesterday I slept at 2am I think, haha. Because I was online at night until 1+ talking to mainly Jonathan, and Suky & Darryl :) Today still can wake up at 9.30am. I am bored... I can't wait to do the measurements for E Math project, haha! I'm so looking forward to using the clinometer with the cute weight! Oh wait, I'm not the one using, haha, but I'm looking forward to it :D But Monday I got damn dental appointment -.- Cannot stay back after school, so maybe during recess. Tuesday got practice, Wednesday got 1h lunch before Bio SPA... but the presentation is due on Friday, which is Serene's birthday! But first, look forward to the reaction when he sees the thing on the clinometer, haha! Oh shucks, what if he reads my blog? :s Haha... I like the clinometer! :D Bye bye!
Hello! Band today, no marching. We were just about to get started when Mr Yeo and Mr Yu came together and said it was raining. Actually, it was stopping, drizzling very slightly only. So we went up and practiced. I think I was happy to see them again! :) How long have we had the exam break? This time I didn't count... so I'll do it now... 3 weeks no practice, 1 Aug till 19 Aug. Today NO alumni came, even Taufiq... Jonathan didn't come :( Suky of course didn't also, she's on holiday in China! I want to go to Chinaagain... well HK's part of China and we're going this year :) Mr Yeo started off with some dynamic and tempo training. At first our dynamic range was very small, then after he tell us, it got better, but still not his range of 1 to 10. I cannot cover that range now... :( Then later got one rhythm with semiquavers, I mixed up the rhythm :s
We had a new piece today, Mamma Mia. It's different from the one we had before, those were "Highlights from the musical Mamma Mia!" this is just Mamma Mia, but the special thing is it's arranged by Mr Yeo for us I suppose. Quite easy but one part with high D, no energy. So irritating, so easy yet I can't play. ARGH...!!! My braces 11 months already, grr! Who knows, I might have deproved until even after I take it off, I'll still sound like a Sec 1. And another thing I'm not happy is Ding Cong hasn't surpassed me yet. At this rate I'm going, I'm maybe never gonna be as good as Kevin next year! -.- Anyway, Mamma Mia has trombone melody :) Our next performance is on 2 Sep, actually was supposed to be 22 Sep (which is Mid-Autumn Festival) but I don't know why it changed, maybe because of the festival. The Music In The City performance is same as last year, at Ngee Ann City but this time we'll only have to play one time, and we'll be wearing school uniform with tie, because our new uniform won't be done yet. After playing Mamma Mia, we played Nobody. Then we had a break from 9.30-10am. I heard my juniors playing some other song which is obviously not a band piece, if not they won't play it. It's probably some... really a song, not a piece, like those kind of pop song or whatever. It's good to see that they're playing by ear :) I did that with Jay Chou's 菊花台 in Sec 1 too :) It's good for them :)
After break, we split into woodwinds with Mr Yeo and brass & percussion with Mr Yu! :) Mr Yu went through the same 2 songs with us. Nobody was lousy, I mean the song, haha. People cannot count... anyhow come in, all not together, sounds yucky. Haiz... But! One thing I'm happy about again, my section reads the rhythm carefully! ^_^ trumpets played one part of Nobody wrongly, 2 notes only but obvious already. it's 1, half count, they played half, 1 count. Then before that we played that melody (chorus) correctly so Mr Yu said he's proud of his Trombones and ask us play again! ^_^ but the sound not nice :x my sound not nice also... :( and he also said that... At 11+ we combined the whole band on the 2 pieces and Procession to Peace. Not enough time for all new pieces, so use PTP again. We'll also be playing Tequila and Rockin' To The Rhymes, the grade 1 song which is a medley of children songs, haha. It's been a long time since I took attendance... Bye! :)
Hi! Today after school I went to Isabel's house with Liam... actually he's not in our E Math clinometer project group but I wanted to combine with his group. Each group's supposed to have 3 but my group 2 only, so I asked to combine with his group of 3. But his Jing Hao & Cui Yi went off. So he called JH but he said got piano exam (he takes piano??) and I gave him CY number but he didn't answer -.- I also call but he didn't answer. So just 3 of us went to Isabel's house to make clinometer. We watched the video that I watched yesterday and from there made one identical clinometer with some trouble. But finally it was done! And her mom made us some food (it's the frozen food stuff) which made my lunch :) Oh ya! I chose to use the pink CJ7 character as the weight for the plumb line for the clinometer. And CY will be using it to measure, haha! Hehehe... XD The character is cute! And only light pink so I like it ^_^ CJ7 is 长江7号 by the way. I later sms him to tell him that we decided he will be the one measuring with the clinometer. So he will be prepared, haha! Eh he actually replied a word :O Which reminds me, Liam sms him a stupid question "Do you want to do E Math project now?" So he replied "nope" haha! He actually replies ah?... Anyway, after that I went back to school for band.
Mrs Maria Tan said the band room key was not in! :O So I just took the special room keys for sectionals. When I went up, the room was not opened! So Xue Qi asked her Guzheng friend to unlock from inside. The instruments were still there from stock check so we spent much time setting up the place. I kept the papers with the trombone numbers! :D Before we started, Ms Chen and Mdm Yanti came with a tailor to show us some uniform samples. They all look like foreign costumes, Chinese to be specific... In the end, we chose a sketch of a black shirt, and it was decided that girls will wear long pants o.o and the inside of the black shirt will be blue, but it's one piece. We couldn't go for sectionals today because there was O Level oral in the hall and the rooms overlook the hall. So we had a sucky combined and sectionals in the band room and we went out section by section for the tailor to take measurements. Ok the measurements for guys is quite awkward...
Some people you need to know for a few months or longer before you know what they are. But I won't scold people's parents because I think their problem is nothing to do with their parents, it's their own problem. Which is why I hate it when people scold others' parents, they have no right to, which is why I don't. And I won't badmouth them either because I'll be downgrading myself too, and I won't be any better than them then. Also, it's not worth getting angry over some people who got problem because that's their problem and killing cells is not worth it at all because we are worth more than them :) So if you're ever going to get angry, make yourself beyond caring, like I do sometimes and you won't feel anything. Don't feel too much as you will be very... hmm... you'll be the ones that suffer which is not what you want. So moral of the story is, people who make you want to use bad words are not even worth you using them on them! :) So don't downgrade yourself to their level, think, and be proud :) I feel like I'm counselling on my blog. Heylo! Today we stock check instruments. Committee only but Alicia came too, and some didn't, like all the trumpets -.- I remembered a few more numbers! Yay! But uh oh, I'm forgetting already! :S 158417 is DC's trombone I think. I saw so many new numbers today, I might mix up and combine some together, haha. The Bach bass trombone that does not have a shiny slide is 164298. Benjamin's bass trombone is... 390 I think, the other Conn bass is 592 I think. Argh...! I want to memorise them! At least I haven't forgotten the 3 I know :) Then we also took down the small trombones (sec 1s use Besson) from the top of the cupboards and that 590 bass. But, damn it! T T2 is missing! The one DC used last year! But it's not DC of course. A while later, I looked through the sign out book that QM keeps but I wasn't putting 2 and 2 together. It was 2 separate issues. And I was looking for trombone sign outs -.- Then after a long time, I was sitting, watching Jaslyn polish eupho. Then someone said must ask those who bring home instruments to bring back. It's not very loud, but I caught it and it struck me! Kheong Kee Poh that Sec 1 who quit used T T2! I don't remember but other than Vanessa he's the only other Sec 1 this year. And Vanessa's still in band and I'm sure she's returned it because she's not even one of us anymore. And I rushed to the record book, he's signed out T2 before (and even wrote it as the serial number -.-) The trombone can't mysteriously go missing, so it's most probably him! What the?! Why the heck is it with him when he's already not one of us anymore, he's not even in band! -.- I got damn agitated when I figured that... I was like shouting. So I called Mdm Yanti and told her about it... Stock check was damn draggy, as usual for any band thing... A lot of time spent with nothing to do, then when I went home it was downpouring -.-"'
Just found out Jonathan remembers numbers too! Haha! But I remembered his wrongly >.<>! ._. Come to think of it, I think we've never called each other before... Ok, that's all for today, the last day of common tests. Oh wait, not yet! After the last paper, A Math, I was very 不爽。因为老师说时间到了，我还没写完但我还是停了。可是我旁边的几个人还继续写，写了多几分钟！。。。不是一两句，而是几分钟的字耶。这样也太不公平了吧。我没做完已经不爽了，看见那些人继续写让我更气。Bye.
A Maths homework, mostly don't know how to do... -.- Tuesday exam already, my linear law still sucks... But luckily can get some help from Jonathan senior! ^_^ On MSN, as usual when I ask people homework. But it's not I ask him, it's he ask me to ask him, haha. So nice right, my senior :) Thank you Senior! ^_^ Actually if I wasn't so blind I wouldn't need him to tell me the obvious. -.- See ah, you'll laugh at this. y=hx+k sq root x. Ask me to draw graph of y/sq root x against sq root x. Just take that whole equation divide by sq root x then it will be linear already! Then find x when y=8 sq root x, just divide it by sq root x will be y/sq root x=8 already and that's the Y axis of the graph! -.- One step only. Then find from the graph the X value which is sq root x then square it... Eh... the first step I don't know means cannot do the whole thing already... I know how to do the back part also no use! -.- Very blind in Maths you know... Similarly, I know how to do coordinate geometry Chp 7, even full marks for that recent test! First time! But the exam will be all linear law except ONE question on chp 7 -.- And what if that question is super hard -.- Ok, I'll stop here. Bye! :)
Hello! Today's the first day using my new school bag ^_^ Sarah said it's nice! :D Anyway, today's another funny day. During recess after SS and Physics I was sleepy so I just slump on the table and play Jay songs from my phone, the 开心听 application. It let's people download songs but only can be played when you open the app, not stored in the phone of course :( I was listening to 麦芽糖 and wondered what that was so I asked Grace. She said don't know but it's something like 叮当糖. Then she told me about people selling it outside her pri sch. She asked me to ask my parents and said they'll definitely know, and it originated in Singapore. (Don't really believe that though...) Then (ironically) she said "I think Cui Yi knows" -.- Ok then she turned behind and asked him. He's never even heard of it before, like me, haha. (No one seems to know 叮当糖) then she asked "Then you know what is 麦芽糖?" CY *Nods* Grace"What?" (麦芽糖 still playing from phone) CY “麦芽糖是一首歌的名字”Me *burst out laughing* Don't know if he said that because he heard, but even if he didn't, he's a Jay fan so he knows, but it's super funny because I was listening to it, HAHA. Grace "Really meh?" Then I let her hear for a few seconds. Then we asked Jaslyn about 叮当糖，and we both said "Doraemon" together, haha! ...super funny recess today... :D No one seems to know what either one is. But on my way home just now I checked dictionary in my phone, 麦芽 was translated as malt and 麦芽糖 was maltose...? Gonna change my blog's songs from Jay Chou's 七里香，爱我别走，听妈妈的话 to Jay Chou's 麦芽糖，星眼，龙卷风. Yo, to all Singaporeans and foreigners, HAPPY 45TH SINGAPORE NATIONAL DAY! :D You know on Okto channel the advertisement shows people saying "I love (something) I love Singapore"? Now I'll say: ILOVE NAS BAND, TROMBONE, 3R12010,ILOVE SINGAPORE! ^_^ National Day Parade is showing on all channels except CNN now :) I wonder if my Chinese friends miss home especially much today... Don't be sad, because in 1 month 23 days time it's China Independence Day! It's also Children's Day by the way...

Yo! Yesterday had national day celebration in school. Actually, there was no celebration in our school, more like in Ngee Ann Primary, because we left school to go there. The people from NATAS Singapore Women's Everest team were still talking then our class had to leave -.- 3 classes from NAS went to NAP, 3R1, 2R1 and 1C1. When we went there, Qian Hui, Appu and Shao Hong gave them a talk about the meaning of the national flag and had a quiz after that. Sarah's so nice! She wanted to buy 43 milos but of course can't carry that much so she bought 24 packets for us, but we used some for the prize for the NAPians (is that what they're called since we're called NASians?) After their talk ended, we gave them the postcards to write their wishes on. 3R1 took Pri 5 & 6, 2R1 took pri 3 & 4, 1C1 took pri 1 & 2. 2 or 3 people will take one class, I happened to be beside Sarah so we took 5/4. Then later they told us they're not called 5/1, 5/2, they're called 5 Honesty, 5 Love all that. 5/4 was 5 Love :)
We are trying to set a new record of 15 000 postcards with national day wishes, or most number of postcards with national day wishes. Our school likes setting interesting records. If I'm not wrong, in 2007 a year before I came in, they made the biggest national flag out of balloons and Straits Times came. I saw it on youtube also, which means it was on TV I suppose. They also said Straits Times would come but since we're not in school, I don't know. We gave out the postcards to them, but it was super messy because they're all in the hall -.- And some took Sarah's pens but didn't return. And! The worst thing is that they wrote on the back of the postcard when it's supposed to be in front :O Collecting back the postcards was also messy. Gee, I was expecting them to be in a classroom... Mr Chee went to the stage to announce (probably couldn't stand it anymore, haha) that we go to the front of the class to collect. Actually we were supposed to give them another one as souvenirs but we gave to Mrs Pong because it was too messy then. I think they passed to the school to give. So NAP's organisation sucks too...
Then we went back to NAS and were dismissed straight away.
Hello, today was a very ordinary school day, except this morning all the ceiling lights in the hall were off and the projector screen said there was fault with all the lights, haha. Only the side lights were on, and I must say the hall looks nicer like that! But, reading period was cancelled, just as well I finished my book, but still brought anyway, if not will get into trouble. They announced for EL reps to go collect this month's reading magazine so I went to get it with my assistant, haha. We went to keep it in the EL locker and took out last months'. Actually there was one missing but I saw it on top of another locker so took it. When I reached 3R1 it was so quite. I was wondering, what's going on? I looked at the teacher's table but no, there's no teacher, then saw Ms Deepa at 3R2. -.- So I gave it out and a few minutes after I sat down, she came to say we can stop reading.
After that was PE, and I was with Sarah. We both had sit and reach to finish. I just got A! To get A for 14 year olds must get more than 43 cm, I got 44, haha! I helped people hold the board behind, then after everyone was done, we went upstairs to the hall. Those who have not passed 2.4km run were there doing beep test, just in time to see the start. For our class, the last few standing were Cui Yi, Qian Hui (last girl running!) and Jing Hao but I think he stopped to rest then went back in... Jing Hao was the last person in the whole level! Wow, I didn't know the 3 of them are so good...! :D Then went back to class early and went to change first, yay! Then Physics, got test paper back. Not satisfied. I managed to add one mark though, although I only wanted to know what was wrong. Actually, nothing was. And Mr Lee said "good" when he gave me my paper, but I'm not satisfied with it... so close. Recently there have been tests for every subject except humanities and language, means my triple Science and double Math. Yesterday got backE Math paper, not satisfied, so close also...! After Physics recess. Then Chinese, I switched on my phone for the dictionary to do practice paper. Then Jonathan sms to ask if there's practice on Saturday haha. But I didn't reply because I don't want to sms in class. Then bio, got back test paper, that's fast. We only did it yesterday... Last question not marked for me yet though. Very unsatisfied, not close at all. Yesterday also had A Math test after school. Surprisingly, I know how to solve all the questions... Maybe the NBC Silver gave me good luck! :D Bye! :)
Yesterday was a funny day... First lesson after Chinese reading period was Chemistry. (By the way, I got my own Chinese book so now I like Chinese reading period :) ) At the end of the lesson Mrs Lim lectured us on giving slip shod work. And then she showed us one person's paper. The MCQs had 5 boxes for the answer. "C U I Y I" I was like?! The whole class burst out laughing. The whole page filled with the name. On the graph line, beside the word "hydrochloric acid" which doesn't make sense. Then the damn funny one, "What could substance S be?" Arrow out from S -> cuiyi. Haha! So lame! But everyone knows it was written by someone else because they know it's not his handwriting. Then we were dismissed for recess while Mrs Lim scolded him -.- He said it's not his and then she scolded him for not checking...
After recess, another one. English lesson, we're doing oral comm now, picture discussion. I was given a picture with an old man and woman dancing. Looks like the man's teaching the woman who seems older. Lots of elderly in the background. Grace asked Ms Deepa for help. When Ms Deepa asked what we see, she said some people (the pair behind us) said it's molestation. I started laughing. Ms Deepa asked me what do old people usually do at void decks? I was thinking of taichi but I said "Yo-" almost said yoga, then immediately burst out laughing. Then Grace took the picture and said "This is yoga?" HAHA! Super funny, after that I still got occasional fits of laughter.
Today I finally presented the 3rd NBC Silver award to the school. During morning assembly Sandy and I went on stage, she told the school what band achieved and I presented the certificate to Ms Tan the VP. And Ivy took our picture, haha. YAY! Band rocks! :D
Yo! 27 July Tuesday band practice. Physics SPA was postponed so I could be less late for band yay! It's impossible not to be late because lesson ends at 2.30pm and practice starts at 2.30pm -.- and if there was SPA it'll end at 4pm -.- I saw Mr Yeo and Mr Yu at the canteen just after I finished lunch. Band was fun today! :) Mr Yeo said our MOE band fund's been approved so we'll get new instruments. Trombone will get except for Benjamin his bass trombone is in good condition though it's not younger than mine I think. But I don't want to change! I want 153671! But we need new trombones, not enough tenor trombone with trigger, 2 only. We had a new piece, Highlights from High School Musical. And Suky came! :D Last Saturday she didn't come and today would be her last time coming because school is starting for her... :( So she won't come every week anymore... So sad. I will miss her. Anyway, back to band. I think my sight reading for this piece is not bad. But! I made some mistakes on the notes which I didn't notice until Suky told me. But anyway, Mr Yeo said our mission today is rhythm and we can play wrong notes, haha. My rhythm is not bad. The wrong notes that I play is... pardonable I guess, haha. Because it's all F then one E. And next page all C then one B so I didn't really notice that it's a different note :S Today Sec 1s played with us too, but I think the ones playing is actually the Main Band only, haha. We ended earlier today! Mr Yeo conducted today! It's been such a long time since he conducted Main Band! Mr Yu went around listening to sections. Suky's band came in 3rd in SIBF and got gold, whoo! After band, I tricked Mr Yeo into finding his own belated birthday card. I said the bells got problem (actually that's the chimes, oh my gosh!) Mavis said percussion got a lot of place can hide the card and Gabriel hid it in the chimes which is covered, haha! Then Mr Yeo went there and took out the card, haha! After dismissal I walked to a different bus stop with Suky, because there also can take bus to the library stop where I change bus. First time take bus 18, haha.
Friday 30 July was sectionals as usual. Ah yes! On Tuesday the Sec 1s joined Main Band already, because the conductors said they have to come on Friday. It's about the same time as my batch joined... Friday people came late again as usual. Damn pissed off, committee members even! (not including those who were buying things for games day). I haven't been to that small sectionals room for a long time... and I don't like it -.- so much echo. I let them self practice for a while, then I take the section. Benjamin's rhythm is still... I don't know what. He can't count. Ding Cong's not bad, he practiced the whole song already! And his rhythm mostly correct except a bit which I also found harder at first. Quite good :) It's nice to have someone who can play with me correctly :) and I miss Kevin... :( Speaking of Kevin, on Wednesday the school announced that some people took part in accounting competition. Kevin's group came in under top 30, Serene's group champion! Check out school website for July :D I miss Kevin... :( Sectionals was ok other than Benjamin. I think he has to learn himself because it's impossible to teach him. Then we had a brass combined with Dion conducting. It's damn sucky because cannot hear and where's the melody? -.-
Yesterday games day. It's supposed to be only once a year not 2 -.- Anyway, fun was fun bit more tiring, haha. I'm team leader of Team 3: Yi Wen, Yii Jie (birthday girl!), Vanessa, Leon, Gabriel, Zi Yuan and Syamsul but ZY didn't come. Exams coming they still have what games day -.- There'll be no practice until 20 August! :( I will miss you Trombone! And Band!
