Band practice
I love NAS, Concert Band, Trombones and my seniors!!:DBand practice yesterday! :D I stared doing a countdown to Band practice 5h 55min before 3pm. Darryl didn't come because he wasn't in school :( I miss him... We had Sectionals. Only me and Kevin from our section came. Cliff said there should be no 2 sections together but Chen Hua was always with Kevin. At first we practiced at the area outside the path leading to the canteen. There were 4 sections there - Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba and Baritone. We only practiced Majulah Singapura. Kevin also doesn't know how to play March "Blue Sky". Kevin helped me tune. My sound was very sharp! Then he pulled out the tuning slide and I played again but still very sharp. So he pulled it out some more then he said the whole thing came out. The slide didn't come off the instrument, I don't know what he meant. Then he tried to push in but it was stuck! He and Chen Hua tried pulling it out for a long time. Then they decided to both pull at the same time and it looked like Tug-Of-War haha! They pulled for very long time! I forgot if it's the Sec2 Eupho senior or Tuba senior said take out the mouthpiece first, so Kevin took it out. Then later they took out the slide too. Then when they pulling, don't know who said it's China and Taiwan, haha! Because Kevin is Taiwanese and Chen Hua's Chinese. And finally it came out, I don't know how then Chen Hua took the bell and went to get oil. That thing that blocks the path from the classroom, Kevin jumped over it! Cool! It's so high you know, but he can jump over it!Then after the problem with the tuning slide was solved, we went back to practicing. Kevin cannot pronounce Majulah. He says Majurah, not his fault, he's not Singaporean. He said Majulah Taiwan, haha! There were mosquitoes there and I got bitten 5 times. So we went to outside 2R6 classroom but people were inside so we moved to outside 1R2 classroom which was still quite close, then we practiced. Kevin wanted to go drink water so he said 5minute water break. He said being a senior is good because can give break themselves. He brought his bottle when he came back. Chen Hua told me"Your senior need to go for counselling. Mental problem." Then he go take the form Kevin was holding and show me. He had to go for counselling but I don't think it's because of mental problem -.- Kevin was singing his national anthem without words (I don't know if it has words) then Chen Hua said Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and started singing the tune while Kevin was talking. Then he said "No la! Where got people so stupid!" Then he washed his Trombone slide! He poured water from his bottle into the slide through the mouthpiece. Chen Hua said it'll become rusty, which was what I thought, and Kevin said Darryl taught him to wash the slide with water like that. Then he went to empty it over the drain through the water key. Then he put water in again. This time he pulled out the slide to empty the water and water was pouring out from it! Haha! He said"My saliva" then pretend to take out the slide. Haha! Chen Hua said "You go do that in front of Cliff la". Then while practicing, someone (I don't know if he's a teacher) went to us and told Chen Hua in Chinese "Do you know we are having Higher Chinese lessons now?" and I think he also asked who told us to play there. Chen Hua said it was our teacher and that man went off-looking for teacher probably. Then Kevin said he 多嘴. Then Chen Hua asked what we do now and Kevin said 跑啦! So we put back the chairs and took our instruments and stands and went back to the original place but nearer to the car park since the other side had mosquitoes.Then we continued practicing. Chen Hua suddenly said "Ms Ong." Kevin thought he was lying and so did I. Then he asked me Ms Ong there right? I went "Where?" I looked into the corridor and Ms Ong was really there. Then he say just practice as if we were originally here. Haha! Ms Ong came and asked us to stop blowing. Then when she walked off, Kevin started blowing with his mouth, haha! Sectionals ended early because Ms Ong said it wasn't productive and she had some things to tell us. While going to keep our instruments, we passed 2C1 classroom. Me and Kevin looked inside and guess who was looking out at us. Samuel :D After keeping instruments, we went to M-Learning Room where Ms Ong talked about our results for 2nd National Band Competition, the judges' comments, our attitude and all. She also said we were going to Genting at the end of the year for a competition! Kevin told me we might be going there at the end of the year but I didn't know it was for a competition! It's probably going to be my first Band competition! (Unless we suddenly have one before that) Cool! :D National Day performance will be my first performance and the Genting competition will be my first competition will be my first competition. Band practice
I love NAS, Concert Band, Trombones and my seniors!!:DI didn't go for practice on Thursday because I couldn't. Then in the computer lab I kept pulling a long face. That course just wastes time, money and everything. I actually wanted to skip it. I was thinking of asking a teacher and even if the teacher didn't let me go, I still would go. But because the night before, I smsed Darryl to tell him I might not go and ask him if I could skip the course. He said skipping it is like skipping lessons. So after I read his message, I didn't feel uneasy anymore and I changed my mindset. Now I thought that if teacher didn't allow, then I would not go. Seniors have great influence and impact on their juniors. Even if that's not true, it is for me and my seniors. I listen to everything my seniors tell me. I do everything they ask me to.Band practice today! But Darryl didn't come :( We were supposed to have Sectionals today but we went to the M-Learning Room first. An alumni came today. Her name is Eng Suky and she's my senior! She talked about SYFs and National Band Competitions. She said using Maths, we're expected to get Bronze for SYF next year. After that, we went to set up our instruments. When I was holding my Trombone, Suky kept looking at it and said hi when she walked past me. I just smiled. Then we went for sectionals. I tried playing Majulah Singapura and she said I'm good :D She said my position is correct and the sound is good but the note is wrong. Actually it's not wrong, just that I kept stopping because it's my first time playing it. She said I can reach high C when I'm so small (age).Kevin asked Cai Yan to come today to help me but she didn't help me at all. She helped him. She asked me to face the other side and play because she can't hear me. So I go there and stand and play alone. Taufiq was teaching Jaslyn and her seniors when he turned and saw me practicing alone. Then he asked if I wanted to join them. So I joined them since no one was teaching me. My part is different from theirs. So we practiced together - 3 Euphoniums and 1 Trombone. I don't want Cai Yan to come, I want Darryl to come. I think he's my favourite senior :) Sectionals from 9-10. Break from 10-10.30. 10.30 onwards combined. I was lost during the combined at some parts.I'm playing 2nd Trombone in Majulah Singapura, same as Darryl. There's supposed to be 3rd Trombone but there isn't the scores so I got 2nd Trombone. We're not playing Trumpet Voluntary anymore :( We were so well-prepared and that's my best so far because it's the easiest.Again, there'll be Sectionals next Thursday instead of Friday and I cannot go again because of that stupid useless course which is so boring. I need Sectionals! I need Darryl! I haven't played March "Blue Sky" yet. Darryl's coming on Tuesday! :D For Thursday, we're just doing a project with what we've learnt. After I'm done, I'll ask if I can go for sectionals.I want to say I love/like a particular senior of mine but if I do, it'll be "I love/like (his name)" and it'll sound like BGR but it's not, so everytime I want to say, I have to say I love my seniors, and the meaning isn't the same anymore. Band practice today! Very fun :D We combined with Main Band the whole day. Darryl asked me to sit between him and Kevin then I "Huh?!" I did that a lot of times. We started with warm ups. Chromatic Low Tones. I got lost sometimes. It's only position 6 and I'm at position 7 already. I kept looking at Darryl's positioning. Then we moved on to Trumpet Voluntary. Then, Majulah Singapura and finally March "Blue Sky" which some were unfamiliar with. I only played Trumpet Voluntary because I didn't know how to play Majulah Singapura and March "Blue Sky". Darryl kept asking me to just try and play but I didn't. I need to have Sectionals. So I didn't play much today :(
I thought Sec 1s only have to play Trumpet Voluntary and Majulah Singapura but actually we have to play all 3 songs. Oh yes, in Trumpet Voluntary there are high A flats. Ms Leong asked Kevin to play it then when she asked me to play, they both (D&K) told me position 3. Then asked the 3 of us to play but looked like only pointing to both of them and I didn't play then she said "3 of you!"...
At the end of practice, Cliff said Friday's practice is postponed to Thursday then I asked Darryl if Sec 1 must come. He asked Cliff and guess what he said. "Yes, of course! Sec 1s you're part of the Main Band!" And Darryl went "Ouch." for me I think, which means Main Band is a lot tougher than Junior Band. Then I asked him "We're part of the Main Band? Since when we join Main Band? I thought we were still in Junior Band..." YAY! I'VE JOINED MAIN BAND!! THAT'S SO COOL! I'M GOING TO BE WITH MY SENIORS EVERY PRACTICE!! :D :D :D
After Band practice, Xue Qi told me that we have some course on Thursday. We're from different classes but our course is on the same day. So I was thinking if I should go for the course. Obviously, I want to go for Sectionals. Today was a very fun practice :) Bye!

Band practice
I love NAS, Concert Band, Trombones and my seniors!!:DBand practice yesterday! :D We set up our instruments and went to the canteen. The Band was marching. Then we waited there and I think Cliff asked us to go M-Learning room. Then we waited there and had to go back to the canteen because Ms Leong didn't come. Cliff asked us to get 3 benches and arrange them as he was going to teach us juniors Trumpet Voluntary. When I loaned my instrument home last time I tried that song. He said we'll be performing for National Day! That will be our first performance! We started playing but some people couldn't play properly so Cliff asked us to go for sectionals. He asked me to look for Cheng Heng then I said "Cheng Heng will not teach me one." Then he said "I'll make him teach you." haha. I couldn't see him at the second canteen from the canteen where I was but the others were there. Then I went there and I asked where's Cheng Heng. Cliff found him behind the toilet and pointed there and said "There" and I went "Where?" Then he go shout his name like "Cheng Heng! Come and teach your junior!" Did he have to shout?One whole day with Cheng Heng. Really one whole day, not just one whole Band practice. He taught me! Oh yes, 2 days ago I SMSed him to ask if he knows how to go to SCH then left my hp at home and went to grandma's house for dinner. Came home checked hp-1 new message. Opened it, his reply! I kept laughing and laughing as I didn't think he would reply as last time I SMSed him just saying hi and he didn't reply. Then I switched off my phone as I do every night. Next morning woke up at 6 but switched on hp at I think 7 in case other junior SMS me and they don't wake up so early. A message saying this number tried to call me 5 times while I was unreachable. Back to about practice. He taught me... :) That's the first time he taught me. Twice not counted-first time Cai Yan teaching him to teach me, second, asked me to do warm up. He actually knows how to teach me but he said last time he didn't know. We played bar 1 to bar 12. There's a repeat from bar 5 to 12. So after teaching me some things he asked if there was anything I didn't know and I said no. Then he went to ask Cliff what to do as I already know everything and Cliff shouted at him telling him to go practice himself. Why does he have to keep shouting at my senior?!So I did as he told, practiced on my own for a while. Cheng Heng is nice :) My cheek muscles are not strong enough. There are high B flats, high A flats and Gs in the song and after repeating I cannot play the high notes. I have to practice harder! Cliff came and asked if I know how to play already and I said ya. He said "Seriously know how to play?" And I said ya. Then he told Kevin "Teach her March "Blue Sky"." Kevin went "That one?!" pointing to his scores. Cliff said Kevin also can't play well for that one. Then Cliff took a Trombone score and asked if I knew this note. I knew it's a high F but just to make sure I counted first before saying high F. Then he asked Kevin to play then asked me to play but I shook my head. I can't reach that high, maybe can but only for a second. Then he handed me a Trombone 3 score. Kevin red it and said "Wah, yours even harder than mine." haha. The highest note is high D which I have no problem with. I looked through the score until Cliff told us to go and combine. Play Trumpet voluntary and had to share my book with Kevin because only the Sec 1s are learning from the Standard Of Excellence. The Sec 2s and Sec 3s obviously don't use it anymore. It's like the stand is so short for Kevin. I wanted to make it higher but no hand to because holding trombone. I don't know when they start! There are only 2 rests in front but the percussion starts before the 2 rests. So I just join in when they are playing half way. And Kevin said on the actual day, the uniform groups will march when we play and we don't know when they'll stop and we have to stop when they stop so we listen out for the percussion. They'll play something and when we hear that, we have to stop at the third beat. Then they stopped half way and luckily I can react fast so I also stopped. Then the second I also don't know when to start and Kevin pointed at the notes. Actually I didn't know I'm supposed to keep repeating bar 5 to bar 12 and after the repeat I stopped at bar 12 because they were not playing the next bar. Luckily he told me. There'll be a rehearsal on Wednesday.After Band practice (ended slightly after 12) Cliff told us we have to clear the area by 1pm and that the water supply would be cut off soon so we have to quickly wash our mouthpieces. Why would the water supply be cut off? I realised I left my water bottle at the canteen. I checked my hp in case Kevin SMSed me and he did but I didn't feel my hp vibrating. Luckily I checked. He said he go first. If don't know how to go, call him. So I called him later to ask where and when I wait for him. The Band Room was very crowded and we had to queue up so I waited until it wasn't so crowded. I went in and saw the room was full because of the percussion instruments. Then I went back to get my bottle. I went to the McDonald's at Tampines Mart to eat and Jaslyn went with me but only bought ice-cream and left after that. I ate half a burger and just after I started eating, my phone rang. It was that number which tried calling 5 times. I answered the phone-Kevin's voice. Said he was going to the interchange already. I didn't want to be late so I only ate half the burger and left. He said either 1 or 1.15pm. I thought I'd be late but when I reached, I called him to ask if he reached already and he said almost. Phew. He went home to change and eat. I had to go in uniform. We then went to Tampines MRT station. And went to Tanjong Pagar MRT station and stood there waiting for an HOUR until Zhihui came. Then we went to SCH and soon after Cai Yan came. She gave me the badge that she gave to my 3 seniors :D She drew it herself-a face and "GO TROMBONE!".
We were late. We sat quite near to the front and I sat with Cai Yan. I don't know how to tell a good performance from a bad one. Cai Yan and Kevin kept on arguing, haha. During the intermission she took some photos with me using my phone, her phone and Zhihui's phone.+%26+me+%40+SCH.jpg)

Kevin brought Rubik's cube and he knows how to solve it. Cool! Cai Yan offered me sweet but I said no thanks. Then she offered Kevin he also don't want. Then she said "Got sweet don't want." Kevin said she eat so many sweets then she...before he finished she stopped him, haha. He said she eat too many sweets then grow side ways. Then she said he eat too little sweets that's why grow so tall, haha! If that was true I should not have eaten sweets at all then I can grow very tall :D
After the concert, we went back. Cai Yan kept saying he so tall for what. Take MRT also like that, cannot take mini bus also. Haha. She and Zhihui left at another station, not Tampines because they were going to Changi Airport to study. Then we got down at Tampines and he asked me whether I know how to go home from there, haha. That's about it. Cai Yan said Samuel was confirmed going but he didn't come. Bye!

2nd National Band Competition
I love NAS, Concert Band, Trombones and my seniors!!:DToday was the 2nd National Band Competition and we went to watch our seniors play at Victoria Concert Hall which is near Ancient Civilisations Museum which I went to on Wednesday with class as part of History lesson. I didn't know VCH was beside it. This morning I reached school at 7.44am, just a few seconds before 7.45am, the time we're supposed to be in school. We went to the M-Learning Room and the Band did warm-up with Concert B flat Major Scale and Chromatic Low Notes. I found out there's another way to empty saliva - pull out the slide and pour out the saliva. I saw Kevin and Darryl doing that. And they put tissue paper at the water key because it's always dripping when they play. Then when Mr Yeo came, they played Silvercrest and Blue Ridge Saga. Before they left the M-Learning Room, Mr Lim said Mdm Julinda bought something for them and they were quite happy. Then he said "Don't be so excited, it's not PSP." haha. We juniors also got - a colourful lollipop :D Before that she was telling them to remember that they are the best, then on the lollipop there's a sticker like those for names, saying "I AM THE BEST". My seniors got a round and flat one, all the juniors got the ones that are winding around the stick. It's quite hard to suck it because of the shape. Then we boarded the bus before the seniors because they were packing up. We took the same bus as the Brass and Percussion players again.When we reached there, we waited outside for a while. Then one of the teachers said they can ask their juniors to help them take their bags (for those who brought their bags. Most of them left theirs in school). So Cliff asked Xue Qi and Jaslyn's senior asked her. My seniors all left their bags in school. Then a guy came and just dumped 3 bags in front of us (one of which is Chien Wai's) without saying anything. So he expects us to take them when he didn't even ask. We're not obliged to do that, the others did so because they were willing. I wanted to carry all 3 because I thought it wouldn't be heavy but when I lifted it, it was so heavy. I wanted to find out which one was the heavy one so I lifted them one by one. It was Chien Wai's bag. Xue Qi and Jaslyn were already carrying their seniors' bags so I gave them the lighter ones to carry and I took the heavy one.When we went in, Zhonghua Secondary was performing and after that was our Band! :D It's smaller than the others but so what? It's better :) I think they were soft because they are a small band but they played well :) Then after they performed was an intermission. Why do competitions have audience as well? They shouldn't have. Some inconsiderate proud people will talk and disturb others and the judges like for example the idiot behind me. Kept saying he was bored in Singlish. If he's bored then why did he come in the first place, stupid. He can get out if he doesn't want to stay, it's not like anyone even wants him to stay. If he's that good why the heck doesn't he go and perform? Think it's so easy? He'll be so scared that he'll go weak and wet his pants if he was the one performing. He should shut up as basic courtesy when he's in there.After the intermission, we went in again to watch the next school perform and after that left the hall. Had to carry their bags for them again. Why can't they carry it themselves since they've already performed? His bag is so heavy while the others are all so light. Then we waited at the bus stop for the buses. It's the same bus stop as the one when we went to the museum. Both buses were red, like the Band blazer. I think our Band uniform is the nicest - red and beige. The others are like all black and blue and the colours don't even match, not nice. While we were waiting, Chien Wai's friend asked him "Why you never take your bag?" CW: Where? Friend: There! Then they went to take. He actually forgot? Or did he expect me to take for him? Actually he doesn't even know I'm the one he's bullying.On the way back, our bus stopped beside the Woodwinds' bus. And BM Liang Rong kept saying hi and his mouth open so big. Haha. When we reached school, we gathered outside Girl Guides room and there, I saw a locker which number is 183. I said "Is this my senior's locker?" He's 183 cm. I went to the band guestbook and read the old posts recently. There's one by him-183cm: HI.And the next post also by him-kevin: sry the 183cm is me. I never see the rules one page 4 .So can dilete it plz.I read it before but I didn't know he was my senior then and I didn't know 183cm was his height.Ms Ong talked to us and asked DM and BM to do a cheer and they lead. So they did 3 cheers for Ngee Ann Band. I was thinking maybe they would do 5 cheers again. Oh yes, just yesterday when I was at the bus stop outside school after school, I saw Darryl! That's ... not what I get everyday. I never once saw him when there isn't Band practice. Actually I didn't see him, I only saw from the side of my eyes someone who looks like Karl. He's always with Karl. I waited till they walked past then I turned around. I saw Karl but before I saw Darryl, Karl turned around. But I'm sure he was there though I didn't see him. Games Day
I love NAS, Concert Band, Trombones and my seniors!! :DGames Day yesterday! :D I thought we were going to have Band practice. I was informed that we had to report at 9am instead of 8am but I thought practice would start at 9am. We were told to go to the canteen. When I walked past the Band room, the door was closed and no instruments were outside and I wondered why. Then when we went to the canteen, Cliff said there would be just games and no practice just for that day. Then we were grouped but some groups like mine had few people so those groups were broken up and the members separated to other groups. Then we played H2O. We had to form groups of 3 in our groups and stand anywhere in the canteen but we all stood in a circle. There's 1 catcher and 1 runner. The runner has to run to a group and the person standing at the end of the group has to run to another group and the catcher tries to catch the runner.So we were playing then half way they increased the runners to 2. Then someone ran to my group and I happened to be the one standing at the end but before I could run I was caught already so I became the catcher. I couldn't catch anyone haha so I was out after 5 mins. They set a time limit and I was the first one and only one to be out. When I was running, someone (I don't know who) said "Ask Cheng Heng to help you." I was thinking, his legs are so long, if he was the catcher he definitely would be able to catch and there's no way the catcher can ask someone to help. I wish I was taller.Then we played Tug-of-war. We went to the field and before we started, BM and DM challenged each other and DM won. Then group 1 against group 2. Just when they started pulling, the rope broke, haha. I'm in group 3 and my group and group 4 didn't play that. The we played Dog and bone with a frog! I was surprised when they said it was a frog. Group 3 against group 4 first. I was number 4. Cliff called numbers 3 times. First 5 then 3. I said he called 5 and 3 but not 4 then he called 4 and 7. One of the guys in my group was 7 but he didn't go so I didn't go too and I didn't want to touch the frog. Kevin touched the frog. Then group 1 against group 2. The frog shit while Cliff was holding it. Ew... Then the winning team from both games against each other, which is group 4 against group 1 or 2. Cliff called a number then 2 girls went out but dared not touch the frog. Then he was going to call another number but I thought he called already and Kevin looked like he was going to go there. Then he really called Kevin's number and he went and immediately picked up the frog. Then I think it jumped away and Kevin was going to get it but Mabeline pulled him away.Then we played Captain's Ball with a ball at first. Then later we used a chicken. Obviously the chicken was not a live one, it's the one from supermarkets, no feathers already. I didn't play at all. From the way Kevin plays, I think his team always wins. Half way through the game, the chicken got torn into half. Why? Because Kevin and Shi Mei were holding it and both refused to let go, haha. I have some new friends, Serene and other some people from my group. Serene told me Kevin sometimes skips Band practice but his attendance is the best in my section.After Captain's Ball, we played water bombs. Cliff was talking when someone burst a plastic bag on his head. Then Kevin clapped and said waterproof, because water was dripping from his hair. I didn't throw at anyone and I also didn't get wet. Kevin wet so many people but didn't get wet himself. Only until people cheated by pouring a bucket of water on him, haha. They also played with flour, throwing at people then say they have white hair. Then they cleaned up and took a whole Band photo. Then we were dismissed but group 4 stayed because DM wanted to see them. Yesterday was fun :D just that I don't really like Captain's Ball. I think tall people would like that because they have an advantage. Maybe because almost everyone is my senior and I don't know them well that's why I didn't play. Assembly
I love NAS, Concert Band, Trombones and my seniors!!:DHad assembly today. Some people who went to Shenyang shared on their trip. I thought of Kevin because he went there the first week of June Holidays. He was one of those who presented. The last group, all those in his group were from 2R6. He hardly said anything. The powerpoint slides had some problem and most of the time he was the laptop. He only said one and a half lines. He didn't finish the second line, he stopped at "and..." haha. That's when he got back to the laptop which he never really left even while talking. The microphone must have been quite loud. He only sniffed but the microphone caught the sound, hahaha! Later he was holding it like 40-50cm from his face and we still can hear him. How loud is that.I was thinking of going for this kind of trip next year (which I never wanted to even in primary school) but one of the presenters said the toilets have no walls, and they bathe there. Eeeww...! Then that person said he didn't bathe and only bathed twice in 7 days-at his buddy's house. During recess, Xue Qi said her sister went there before and there was only walls between the 2 toilets(male and female) and inside the toilet, there are no cubicals because there are no walls and they bathe together. I love NAS, Concert Band, Trombones and my seniors!!:DBand practice and recital today! :D We practiced in General Office 2 after waiting (and practicing) at the canteen for about an hour. At the canteen, I learnt the first part of the melody of Montego Bay from Xue Qi and played it on my Trombone. When we went to the GO 2, Ms Leong told us not to take chairs because we only had an hour (until 5pm) then we'll go to the M-Learning Room for the recital. I didn't use book or file because I memorised the songs except the warm ups and Frere Jacques, where I shared with Jaslyn. First time my instrument has saliva, usually when I empty and blow very hard, nothing comes out. This time it dripped from the water key like my seniors' instruments. Then every now and then I emptied and there was saliva.We always play Frere Jacques last and it has a lot of high B flat notes and I always cannot reach when it's coming to the end. Ms Leong said she would record us playing in front of our seniors! So we went there at 5pm. Before we entered, we heard them cheering-for us. Mr Yeo was talking to them until 5.15pm, then we started. While he was talking, we kept telling each other we were very nervous. I said it was the first time I see Trombones(my seniors') and I get so nervous. I also said it's the first time I see my seniors I would get so nervous. Darryl and Kevin were there. I was third to perform. Xue Qi was first and Jaslyn next. When Jaslyn went out, I asked Xue Qi to go out with me to empty saliva. Shortly after I went back in, she was done. Then whe she came back and I was supposed to go, I went "Why you finish so fast? Why you finish so fast? I hate you!" Then the seniors were laughing, at me I think, haha.I went up with my book and introduced myself "I'm Rebecca from Trombone Section and the song I'll be playing is entitled Alouette." I heard some people saying "What?" and another person replying "Alouette" I was looking at the book when I said that. Then I started playing without looking at the book at all and I saw Germaine whispering to Serene something. Then when I finished and went back, the seniors laughed. I asked the other juniors what happened, they said Mr Yeo told my seniors "Learn from your junior." Then for the quartet, I introduced the song "The song that we'll be playing is entitled Jolly Old St Nicholas" and went without my book (and didn't look at anyone's book either). I gave the queue and we played. When we finished, the seniors laughed again because Mr Yeo said something to my seniors again. Then we played the combined pieces, Montego Bay first. I asked Ms Leong "Is my stand ok?" when I knew it was. She asked if I have enough space then she said very close cannot conduct haha. Then 2 clarinet seniors, Benedict and Tian Hoe wanted to help her conduct but she conducted in the end. She stood right in front of me as I was in the middle and so my seniors couldn't see me. But at least now I know that Kevin cares for me because he kept popping his head out as he couldn't see me. I saw that, haha. I can't remember if he did that for both songs or just Frere Jacques. If it was just Frere Jacques, then maybe it was because he couldn't hear me playing. After the melody, I couldn't play the high B flat notes! So I played softly hoping people wouldn't be able to tell I couldn't reach it. I don't even know if I made any sound at those notes! Worse than usual!After we finished, Mr Yeo talked to the seniors about our recital. He said there are a lot of things they can learn from their juniors. Then he mentioned one junior then he mentioned me! He pointed at me for a while without saying anything (thinking), then he said "Jaslyn..." I gave a puzzled look. I went " Huh? Jaslyn is her!" (He asked our names at the Tapestry) Then he went "Oh Jaslyn is her. At least I remembered the names... Rebecca, for almost all the songs that she played, she memorised." Then everyone looked at me, I was like how did he know. The quartet one was obvious but the rest maybe he saw I wasn't looking at the book. He continued talking to the seniors. Then he told the seniors something I forgot, about learning from us or something. Then he went "Understand? ... Trombone Section!...(People laugh) Memorise your music!" (People laugh) Then half way talking to the seniors he told me "I think I'll make you Section Leader." -.- Those are not funny, it's embarrassing my seniors. I wouldn't even dream of competing with them or snatching their position. He's bullying my seniors. I felt like apologising to them. I'm not better than them! I kept thinking then (and I'm still thinking) whether they would be upset. If I was one of them, I would.Then practice was over for the juniors but the seniors were playing the Elmo song and after that I don't know what they did. In the bus, I decided to SMS Kevin for fun so I did that at 6.32pm. First time. I wrote "Hi! :D I'm your junior! :D" but he didn't reply:( Is he angry?... I hope not, I hope it's just that he doesn't want to waste SMS. So the recital wasn't that bad, it was fun.
