Yo! There's band practice yesterday, and yesterday's the last day of school. I got back my D&T project with a test tube too. I handed in the Sec 3 subject combination option form yesterday. I had lunch alone, then Serene came and talk to her a while. Then she go lunch with Germaine. I went to sit with Chong Jin, Filzah and their friends. After their friends left, I accidentally broke off one yellow piece of my project -.- We went bookshop cos I wanted to get Jaslyn's belated birthday present, but couldn't find anything worth my money. Then we went upstairs and there were Sec 1s, I thought today was Main Band practice. Don't tell me they joined Main Band already.
I forgot a lot of things. I set up my trombone, then remembered have to wash mouthpiece, so I took my bottle. Then remembered stand and file, but no hand so went out first then went back to take. Ding Cong said Benjamin was playing soccer -.- Kevin was late, as expected because if he's not late he'd be there before 2.30pm. Ah, Benjamin's obviously late, but earlier than Kevin. Rebekah asked Section Leaders to go out and call those not here. Haha, Section Leader's the one not here. So I went out to call him, he said he's downstairs, so I asked him to come up. He came within a few minutes, just slightly past 2.30pm. We were doing warm up already. Chromatic Low Tones and Total Training. Oh ya, I forgot to bring back the pockets from my file that I brought home, and I brought home all the songs we're playing now. I told Kevin, I exam depression then forgot to bring the scores. I bring metronome, bring mouthpiece then never bring score. Then he laugh, as expected, haha. "Very bad eh, people so sad you still laugh." "Hahaha...." "Shut up and take the stand la" Woah, then he stop straight away :O And because Benjamin took Kevin's stand (I think DC set up for him -.-) so he didn't have stand, so I asked him to take mine. Walao, can't they use their own stand, everytime take senior's stands -.- And what "(the stand)Not yours, got name one" it's their own senior's name, for God's sake. Say until like stranger or what. And wtf is wrong with this year's Sec 1s. It's already October, not March. After Total Training, I said "My sound very sucky right?" Kevin said "never mind la, because the..." "braces?" "Ya, after take out will be ok already." Aw, wow, that's rare. I said Suky has a concert on 19 December. "In one song she got solo" "Scold me???" "....?? So-lo!" "Oh, haha.." -.o?
Mr Yeo came during warm ups. We warm up till 3+. Then we practise Big Bands Play Folk Songs. I saw that Benjamin got the original score, and the photocopied one I just gave him. He said I gave him the original and he brought it home. So I used the original one, haha. Half way through, Mr Yeo start changing people's places and parts. Then he said I play 2nd (which I alr am) and DC play 1st, WTF! So DC sit with Kevin, if not the two Sec 1s sit together. Then I ask why and he said he's not demoting me, he just wants someone to guide DC, "You're still senior, ok? My beloved senior." :( 3 of us are all 2nd, I can just sit between them and he still play 2nd what, why must change to first. He's only a Sec 1 eh! And he's not strong like Kevin who play 1st in Sec 2. Ya, then Mr Yeo suddenly say play Ponyo then we're all surprised. Now he asked me to change with Kevin. I said there's 3rd trombone for this song, but he doesn't want 3rd trombone. So Benjamin is still playing 2nd :O and DC still playing 1st, just that I take 1st and Kevin take 2nd, change places. So high! I want 3rd trombone! Not that I wanna play 3rd trombone (now that there are Sec 1s) but I want there to be 3rd trombone. Where got such thing as no 3rd because the conductor doesn't want it? Then why's there 3rd trumpets, 3rd horn, 3rd clarinets? No fair! :( Benjamin's best suited for 3rd trombone. DC, 3rd or 2nd maybe, definitely NOT 1st. Kevin! Of course he's best for 1st :D Me? I loved the time I was powerful on bass trombone last year, I miss it :( I was so cool. Bye bye.
Damn it, Maths. It's gonna affect my Junior College course. Can't believe it, I might be staying in R6 forever. And I was doing the Maths holiday homework just now. I never liked the number 6 anyway. I know 3R6 is gonna be worse than 2R6.
Nature's first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf's a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf, So Eden sank to grief. So dawn goes down to day, Nothing gold can stay. I just finished watching The Outsiders on Youtube. During English today, Ms Poh showed us the movie on youtube but we didn't finish it. Gee, all the people in the movie are different from what I pictured them to be when I read the book. The 14-yeard-old Ponyboy looks older than 14, about 16. And the 16-year-old Johnny looks younger than 16, like what the book mentioned.
Today I bought the Chinese story book required, every year we have book test at the start of the year. We read the book the year before. This year I went for the book test without my book -.- I passed. I got the Girl Guide cookies I bought months ago today.
21 and 22 Oct was Values Champion training. Nothing much. On both days I almost cried. On 21 they made us cook our own lunch, and they gave us Maggie noodle -.- There wasn't much time left and I hadn't even started, so I thought I mightn't have time to eat. I've never even cooked that before, it wasn't properly cooked but I ate fast as if it's that nice, because of the time limit, when actually it's so hard to eat. On 22 they tied our hands to each others, crossing alternately. After a while they untied us. We used 3C1 classroom both days. Nearing the end, a trainer gave comment on me and I had to continue to someone else. She noticed me only that day during the first game, when the Sec 4 Kevin guy (NOT my senior) asked me to lead the game. You know the one where one leader does an action and all follow, and someone has to find who the leader is? I won John the Sec 1 guy. Haha, I kept it going for very long, someone said during the game, I very good, change already also nobody know. Ya, sometimes they take long to react. In the end he pointed 3 people all so close to me, and all wrong. 3 tries and he's out. Haha, I'm good at this eh? Because I'm sneaky. Anyway, when I was supposed to comment on someone, I almost cried and I took quite long to think although I was already thinking of Shuqi a Sec 3, need to think how to phrase it. Did it anyway. Yeah, that's about it... Bye!
The sky was lighter in the east, and the horizon was a thin golden line. The clouds changed from gray to pink, and the mist was touched with gold. There was a silent moment when everything held its breath, and then the sun rose.
Yo! The End Of Year exams were over today. Today was Science paper. Last night I finally understood why Darryl Kor Kor can stay up till 2 in the morning... The paper was easier than expected. I'm 23, 22 behind me and 24 in front of me say it's very difficult. I hope I didn't write mostly wrong answers... No, I know I didn't. I was not sure of a few questions but I attempted everything :)
Oh ya, as I was about to start writing, Chen Hua MSN me with the whole poem after he saw my MSN message "Nothing Gold Can Stay..." which is the title and last line of the poem by Robert Frost. His class watched it in Sec 1 two years ago during Literature lesson. But they didn't use the book. He memorised the poem though he doesn't understand it, haha.
Anyway, Xuan Lin's birthday is tomorrow, Jaslyn's birthday is Sunday, my birthday is Monday (a month and a week from Jaslyn, haha)... I have Values Champion training on 21 and 22 October, a week before school ends for the year. Is that any sense?... Bye!
